How stupid is it that white people aren't supposed to say 'nigger' but black people say it all the time?

Not that I want to say nigger, I just think it's incredibly stupid.

 

it's a double standard that has always pissed me off to no end. first off, it's just a word, so anyone can say the word. it's the connotation that should just be obliterated.

 

It's because black people don't say 'nigger', they mean it as in 'nigga'. I don't have a problem with it but I think it's stupid that for hundreds of years people worked on aboloshing that word in the interest of racial equality only for it to be braught back by the same people who the word was used as a descriminatory term for.

 

The word was all to do with slavery wasn't it?


I remember something being on the TV about it where they "went on a journey of discovery" with some black rapper 'cause he used the word a lot or something.

 

I should probaly make it clear that when I said I don't have a problem with it I meant when black people use it among themselves. I don't really care to be honest, live and let live. No white person should be using that word though. But then again what do I know? I'm not black or white.

 

I just find it weird how you're getting accused by black people of rascism when you say 'nigga', but 1 minute later they're all like 'hey nigga!!!' to their buddies. =.=

 

Speaking of racial epithets, I always found it weird when Lamont would call
Derek "peckerwood" in American History X. Seriously, who the fuck uses that?

 

It's just one of those stupid hypocritical things.


In other news I'm starting a new sect devoted to Buckethead.

 

I hope that they'll like my brownies.

Whoever asked, Nigger is the mispronunciation of Niger, as in the river in Africa. Dumb white slave traders teach slaves, slaves become dumb ignorant slaves, dumb ignorant slaves have dumb ignorant children, etc etc etc until dumb ignorant gangster rappers can barely talk without some form of ebonics comes spewing forth from their lips.
