@Sasuke Gonna be honest, I saw that album cover and immediately got turned off Just listened to Ghost and that sounded pretty good. I'll probably check out the full album soon
The one hit wonder aka Call Me Maybe girl is back with another pop banger titled Dedicated. This time not so bombastic and 80s inspired but rather more chill with some disco flair. Julien is my favorite on the album, an incredible song!
Not digging Dedicated for now. It's good, but it's like a slightly more elaborate Kiss, which is a bit disappointing after the soaring Emotion, which is probably my favourite pop album.
So Purity Ring have posted this mysterious website, which is like a puzzle and if you are able to solve it you will unlock a brand new song!
Double post but no one posted here for two months so fuck it. After 5 long years of wait (for me it was only 3.5 years ha) Purity Ring are finally back with their 3rd album. This one feels way more chill and atmospheric than their other two albums which are perfect for me. So I was slightly disappointed at first because I clearly like their music because of how incredibly catchy it is, this one felt too low key and not as interesting from the vocals and melodies aspect: not a single song has a bridge and basically every song ends almost exactly how it starts, wished to have more surprises songwriting wise too (like the change in pace in the middle part of "stranger than earth" for example). However the production is incredible on the whole thing, every song used distinct sound palette and has stunning sound design. It might grow on me more because I fucking love everything about their music, but so far my least favorite release of them. Thoughts?
"WOMB" is definitely more low-key compared to "another eternity" but I don't think that's a bad thing at all, and it doesn't make the hooks any less catchy. Still some proper earworms on the album
There's a excess of instrumental acts in the prog scene that have no soul in their music and sound all the same, but every once in a while a band shines through, and those great ones are INCREDIBLE.
Everyone who's saying that all Pop is shallow and without any personality, should listen to the new Dua Lipa album!
It's finally here (even though I listened to the leak shame). Haken is one of the most consistent bands I've ever heard with every single one of their albums being incredible and that's coming from someone who just started getting into prog (especially their older albums are fucking crazy). And this one is no difference. Favorite songs: Messiah Complex, Invasion and Carousel.
Been buying more vinyl since I need a new hobby or activity in my life. I mostly just buy limited edition or special pressings for now. When I have more stable income, I can probably buy just anything then. Lately it's only been once in a blue moon that I pick up a record. When the hell is that Quake OST vinyl by Trent Reznor gonna come out lol
A mix between Ramstein and BMTH. Let's see when the new album drops. I predict a more diverse record this time.
