You literally said you'd rather listen to "their music" earlier than have a guest, but you now say you like having guest guitarists and vocalists...so which is it?

It sounds more like you just have a bias toward hip-hop that's not in LP's music.

I just don't like rap in general, but for some reason I like Mike's rap. I cannot stand any other rapper. Any other sort of collaboration I like.

That was seriously the most pointless use of a guest vocalist. Hardly any different from having Shinoda singing it, I would say.

The band have explained that they opted to have a guest rapper on "Guilty" so that it wouldn't just be another "Shinoda raps during the bridge in a Linkin Park song" thing; they wanted something that would be more surprising for the fans. The album is full of such twists and turns.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Hamilton also do guitar as well? I'm sure he did in the LPTV

Yes, he did provide additional guitar as well. I was referring specifically to his singing contributions :)

Yeah, he did a bit, but not the main parts IIRC. The part that springs to mind from the LPTV is the high, repeated notes at the very end of the song, although I'm sure he did small bits elsewhere too.

Most of Hamilton's parts are lead parts throughout the song. The intro guitar has a distinctly Page-like tone, as does the lead in the second verse and in the final chorus. The dissonance of the guitar is very un-Brad and sounds much more like Page.

I wouldn't call any of Paige's guitar lead, lead to me would be all the power chords in the beginning/chorus. it is true that it's the only guitar going on in the verses though. Paige's is clearly the higher notes that pervade throughout the whole song, playing mostly on the G and B strings.

I'm wondering which part in Rebellion did Daron Malakian play guitar?

Funny how the best songs off The Hunting Party are the 4 they had guests on. Also funny how Reanimation is damn great.

You're gonna have a hard time arguing that "All For Nothing" is one of the album's best songs but I can respect your opinion. "Rebellion" is in my top-ten.

If you still can't figure it out after those three songs, especially Needles, come get me. We need to talk.

One of my favorites from the album actually. :p

Subjective, man. Keys to the kingdom and Mark the graves are my favourites, didn't feature any guests.

Funny how A Thousand Suns didn't feature any guests but remains the best Linkin Park album to date.

Final Masquerade is the best song off THP imo, fightmeIRL if you disagree :kappa:
