LT was one of the most interesting pre-album cycles to me, trying to imagine what it would sound like just by the little descriptions we were receiving.
LT is my least favorite of the albums. Maybe because it came out at the wrong time for me. Either way, I don't really like much from the album. The themes are LP at their vaguest imo and while the lyrics themselves are pretty well-written (hell, I'd say they're just as good as ATS), the constant metaphors and imagery just take me out of the songs. It sounds nice but it means nothing to me if ya know what I mean. The folky tracks didn't do anything for me (though Roads Untraveled is pretty good) and some songs feel like clones of one another. (In My Remains and I'll Be Gone) In terms of positives, Lost In The Echo is one of the best (if not the best) opening song of their albums, Mike's delivery is at its peak here and, like I said before, the lyrics are pretty good overall.
Hello! Could anyone write down what Mike says at the end of the music video Watching As I Fall? I'm making a translated lyric video and I can't hear clearly what he says in that part after the song.
Maybe it's just because I'm stoned, but holy shit that About You/Watching as I Fall/Papercut medley is such a fucking beautifully haunting experience. What Mike's been doing with the outro of Papercut really makes it feel like all of the songs are tied, if only just because of the similar vibe. I would love a studio version of that.
Idk where else to put this, so... Post Traumatic could've been a way better album had it been like 10 tracks and a bit more focused. I understand why it is the way it is, no need to explain.
Sadly I have to agree. I love every song on the album, but I haven't listened to the full thing in a few weeks because it's such a commitment to digest 16 songs at once like that. 10 or 12 would have been perfect.
Hey guys Sorry random here, but anyone else from India or South Asia pre-ordered Post Traumatic and note received it yet?
Are you saying you pre-ordered - as in, ordered before the album's release date almost 2 months ago - and you're still waiting on your order to arrive? Have you gotten any notifications from whoever is shipping it?
Yessir, the last update I got was from the MS Store stating that the order had been shipped via US Postal Service, but didn't receive a tracking ID or any other information. I contacted customer support and they said since its been more than 6 weeks they can issue a refund or replacement. What sucks is that I pre-ordered it right when it was announced and would have received the autographed photo print
Got the Post Traumatic vinyl today. LP has solid vinyl pressings, but I'm really enjoying the quality of PT a lot. The cover art looks amazing when blown up to that size as well.
As much as I love "Running from My Shadow", I really feel that "Make It Up as I Go" would be a great second single from Post Traumatic.
I haven't listened to Post Traumatic yet. I really feel like I should. Guess I've been waiting for the right moment, but maybe I should just look it up already.
Not technically directly LP related, but I've been really enjoying the new Paul McCartney single, despite almost all the reactions I've seen being negative and criticising it for sounding too much like contemporary pop music. Really giving me flashbacks to when the One More Light singles were being released.
