Oh definitely. I know I'm being a greedy bastard but an exclusive song would be fantastic. What we have so far is pretty amazing though. I was expecting just one day celebration but A WHOLE WEEK?! WHEW!
I came across this today: There was also a video of him singing another song at this event, but I can't find it anymore...
My headphones recently broke, and I was finally want to get ones that last a while, I remembered that Mike posted some Sony headphones he had for around 15 years, what model are they? http://mikeshinoda.com/2011/04/22/my-old-headphones/
MDR-7506's. Obviously a much older version of them but other than than some cosmetic differences they've pretty much been an unchanged industry standard for entry-level reference headphones for the last two decades (comparable to the Audio Technica ATH-M50's, for example). I have a pair of them myself.
I miss Mike updating his blog but I guess it's not much use with Snapchat and Instagram now. Those two social media apps don't have the depth of his blog though.
Awesome! Thanks Astat! Just ordered a pair, hopefully these last me as long as Mikes did, I seem to have bad luck with headphones
I was thinking right now... just a comparison: Imagine that LP released it's last album in 2013, around march. It's 3 and a half years from today, withouth almost anything new heard from the band. Now, imagine that the next album will only be dropped around may 2017. That's the delay between Meteora and MTM. It's a pretty long time being on the darkness, waiting. Damn.
During that time fans did get Collision Course, The Rising Tied, and QWERTY. If there were a similar gap, I'd imagine we'd have seen another side project or a few singles to keep us occupied. Mike specifically seems to be always keeping himself busy, Chester too. It's already been over two years since THP, to me it feels like it's only been out since last summer. To think a new album may be here within half a year, it'll be here before I know it.
That's true, forgot to mention those parallel works. And i'm with you, THP release seems so fresh to me.
Interesting negative review of A Thousand Suns. Rather than just spewing words about how it's not Hybrid Theory, he actually goes into detail track-by-track on how the album falls apart. However his biggest argument is the cliched "a fanbase doesn't have to like everything a band makes", and I wholeheartedly disagree how he believes WTCFM and Blackout are horrible tracks.
