The Hunting Party is the sequel to A Thousand Suns. They will never ever make a trilogy album, Mike stated in MTM documentary. All we need for LP7 is more bass line from Phoenix, more live strings (prominently absent from ATS to THP). LP7 needs to have a Blu-ray documentary & LIVE concert film.
I was listening to LOATR yesterday and i would think really cool and album with that style, mixed with some folk elements from LT. I really want more this BTH and LOATR feeling.
I'm guessing they have everything picked out for the album and chose to finalize the rest of it in a new setting.
I like how everything about the album seems very spontaneous and in the moment. It's something the last two albums lacked. - I think "It Goes Through" had potential to be a hit, if it was an album track and felt more... ready.
I'm still disappointed that the version we hear in the "MALL" trailer was just an edit rather than the main v. of the song
I just hope the mixing in this record would be the same quality as MTM and ATS. LT & THP were horrible in terms of mixing.
This is why I'm so excited for another LP album. I feel like everything we've heard from the band over the past few years outside of the two studio albums, which were chasing a very particular sound, has been stellar. To put it another way, I prefer the band's softer side, and while I enjoy LT and THP, I'm much more excited by the thought of an LP album dominated by Mike's lo-fi, chill beats, acoustic instruments, and soulful singing. From the MALL soundtrack, to the acoustic version of FM, to Welcome, I know that they'd be more than able to create a great album around that style, but it just so happens to be that neither of the last two albums were suitable to utilise that type of sound on.
omg he is the one who also mixed Fall out boys Infinity on High. the sound there is also..raw and good.
Oh? Nothing big, but just nice to hear after the last two albums not having these sorts of vibes at all.
