Yeah, I know. All the different things pointed out in the comments are annoying, obviously, but that sentiment specifically is annoying in particular because LP's most recent album was their most guitar-heavy one to date
What about... ATS part 2? Mike said he had and "epiphany" about the new album. I don't know, it really could be an official sequel to ATS. And then it turns out to be a trilogy. ATS is the war happening, ATS 2 is about the destroyed world and rebuilding it, and ATS 3 is the new beautiful communist utopic society.
I don't think the album will be that political. Last year, when they were in the depths of writing, Chester twittered how he loved the personal lyrics they were developing and he sounded quite pumped and torn apart at the same time. If nothing major changed I think the album will be very personal!
I wanna see 2007 LP play A line in the sand, back when Chester when all-out on the Faint/OSC outros. I feel like he would go insane over ALITS, more so than he does in any performances of the song I've seen.
Anyone taking Mike's recent tweet to heart? "Our album would have been done like this month, but all the ProTools crashes have set us back like 6-9 months. :|" Is he just trolling the fanbase? Kind of a huge deal to just casually tweet about.
I doubt he meant that they lost all the material due to crashes, probably just got annoyed at how frequent it crashes since it probably takes a few minutes to reboot and get the project back up.
Jeez, I don't know what to think about that tweet. I mean I figured the album would probably take that amount of time to finish but the "Our album would of been out this month" part is kinda like "Wow dude, thanks for saying that." LOL
Maybe he was referring to the whole process of making the album, where they've experienced so many crashes over the time. So he feels like they could already be done, if it weren't have been for all of these annoyances.
I don't care whether or not it's true, really. I'm on the fence about whether or not I'm really eager for a new Linkin Park album at the moment., so I'm more than happy to wait. EDIT: also, what Shinoda says is vague enough that it could mean the album will be done in August, if you're optimistic.
Yeah I figure that's what he meant too. Mike wouldn't say that to be a dick about it obviously. well, for the most part
So drop ProTools and start using something new and amazing like sound forge! And... do this mean the album will be done between 6 and 9 months from now?
StageLight Possibly, but I doubt it. All we know is that he didn't explicitly say when this 6-9 month delay began, only that it has prevented the album from being completed this month.
I hope their next album is more chill and ambient, just no screaming at all, Chester's voice is getting weaker with age so they should adjust their sound accordingly, I'd love for the screaming, rap and distorted power chords to go away for this album.
What's up with all the recent news stories about Warner Bros. wanting to kick Mike out, I swear we knew this shit years ago lol. https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/new...d_label_tried_to_get_rid_of_mike_shinoda.html and http://www.altpress.com/news/entry/...ck_out_mike_shinoda_from_band_during_hybrid_t EDIT: I guess, this article is the reason why lol: http://teamrock.com/news/2016-07-14/linkin-park-record-label-tried-to-get-rid-of-mike-shinoda
