okay, the forums are getting very quiet and im getting quite concerened, because i dont want this forum to die theres almost 2000 registered members, yet we usually top at 20 online at one time right now theres 14, and its eerily quiet, around the time i joined, april -> august, there was a lot of posting, in march there was 69 members online at one time, hard to beleive looking at it now i think everyone should gather up some ideas to boost the community, its time to give back to the creators/admins of this site i think advertising in other forums is a big must, even if u post about 10 times a week in a forum, put some sort of image in your signature mayby even if u tried to get people to join, and say u referred them, like with the lpunderground, you could get something cool
for one, the 69 users on March 21st was because that was the day Meteora leaked and everyone was on the forums trying to get the files, so don't compare it to that. I'm not sure how we can make the traffic on this site heighten, just tell all your friends. But I am open to suggestions. The forums are only as quiet as you make them
If LPA becomes TOO popular, i'm gonna quit it. Too many members spoil the forums. However, i do recognise that some of the old members who have left the site, should come back (Happy,i miss you )...
It's better to have few good members that post few intelligent things that lots of stupid member that post pointless things . But IMO it's not as quiet as you say .
LPA is about to break its all time record this month in term of number of visitors to the site if the current traffic is maintained at its current level which I have no doubt it will. As goes for the forum, we've had a steady average of 20 online for awhile which is better then 2
I think that there is a very good group of core members here, and that we might be missing a few more because all the Meteora hype has died down pretty much. Granted Live in Texas is coming out soon but I think that after Meteora's release the number of visitors would decline some.
Personally, I think the forums could be a little bit more active, but I don't mind it like this at all. It makes our jobs as administrators a little bit easier because there isn't as much posting going on, and there aren't as many people to have to worry about (as in breaking rules and things like that). So, yeah... I think it could be a bit more active, but I don't mind it.
i like it the way it is, instead of the linkinpark.com. there are 1000 online and if you wanna post in a thread you're already running 5pages behind but yeah, it's strange that you guys have 2200+ and only 20 are online most of the time
I actually really like the size of the fourms now. I like the people here. I like a lot of the discussions/debates we have. But that said, I wouldn't mind if things got more active. I think though, like Will said, it's because Meteora's been out awhile and we've all picked it a part, multible times. Which leaves a lack of things to talk about. Sure, we have LIT, but that's not quite the same.
Make sure you're online when it's about 2 weeks before Linkin Park's new album comes out, there'll be a lot of people online looking for leaks of it
I see what you mean about it being quiet around here lately but it isn't that bad. The people that do come online i think are the most valuable to the forum. I agree with what chris said about the LPMB. There are always WAY too many people on there and i don't think that what you are after is more members. We have plenty of members here it's just that some of them don't come here much. On one forum i am on they sent a reminder to my e-mail adress telling me that i hadn't posted in like ages. This might be an idea to be considered. This got me back on the forum because i had completely forgotten about it. Maybe some people have frogotten they have signed up here  . Just an idea though
And now its gonna be even more quiet cause the thread starter decided to get himself banned. I dont think its too quiet though. I agree with the people who say there could be to many members posting. Isn't LPA the biggest fan site as of the moment? So I do imagine that the LPA forums are the biggest forums besides LPU and the LinkinPark.com forums.... You know what I love most about LPA? They are such a big LP site...like I said the biggest of the moment. And still they have time to talk to the members. Like, I know the staff are people too, but personally I think its cool to talk to the people who run the site. At lp.com forums, they don't really talk a bunch...or at least not to you personally. Sorry, I know that had nothing to do with what were talking about, I just wanted the staff to know I appreciate them. Anyways, I don't think I'd go as far as to say I'd leave if they got to popular, I just wouldn't have as much fun. If that makes sense..?
Around 20 members is enough in my mind. One of the reasons that I left my old message board was because it got way too crowded and rowdy. But true, more interesting topics would be nice, instead of the usual ChitChat threads whose sole purpose is to allow everyone to pad post counts.
too many members posting at one time=chaos. Besides, in my opinion, I'd rather have fewer members on the forum at one time and be able to hold real discussions than have 400 teenies on all at once posting crap like "OMFG CHAZ IS SOOOOO HOT!!!!11 :chaz: :chaz: :chaz:"
