I was thinking of switching to an Apple computer when I went off to college. I was wondering if iBooks and/or Powerbooks work on most campus's networks.
There's no reason it shouldn't. All network protocols are standards and work with Windows, Mac, Linux, ect. My 2 Macs work great on my campus network, both wired and wireless.
what are you majoring in college?
well...I'm still a junior in high school, but I'm shooting toward a masters in electrical engineering in order to get a good career in hardware design.

Nate's gonna kill me but. I wouldn't go mac because there's simply not enough software to make it enjoyable.
If you're a gamer, yes. If you area a designer or leader of a company, no. There is plenty of software. If the Mac OS gets more exposure, more software will follow. As for now, most of what people need is at their fingertips.
I wouldn't go windows because there's simply too many viruses and spyware to make it enjoyable.
Nice. I don't play too many games. I wouldn't mind Doom 3, Enter The Matrix, or Star Wars NOTOR
