I'm currently obsessed with this band, anyone else care to join me? I just picked up Rated R, and recently got really into Songs For The Deaf, and they are frickin amazing albums. Better Living Through Chemistry is awesome.
Lol, I'll join you. I haven't managed to really get into them yet, but i have all their albums on my computer and Songs For The Deaf and Rated R in my iTunes. Songs For The Deaf is very good. Kyuss are pretty good too.
That girl looks like a dude. I dislike Queens of the Stone Age, but I've never really given them a proper listen. Maybe I'll do that some time. But the couple songs I've heard, I've hated.
He is a sexy beast. There's a myth that says he's actually always taller than the person who's standing next to him, he can grow instantly, something about patronizing hormones... All kidding aside, they're a great band. I think their albums and songs can be a little incoherent sometimes, though. They're mainly a great live band too, I guess, haven't seen them yet, though.
I love QOTSA. They make some badass music [see Someone's in the Wolf, Song for the Dead, Sick Sick Sick, Millionaire, etc.] and they know how to groove. Looking forward to new stuff this year.
In semi-QOTSA related news... Josh was producing the new Arctic Monkeys album, and I think they're either finished or close to that stage. I know a lot of people here dislike one or the other, or both, but I think it's an interesting combination if nothing else, and I am already a fan of both so obviously I'm anticipating it anyway.
QOTSA are awesome. I don't know how anyone could dislike them; they could be not your style, but they are too good to dislike. Well. I really like em.
c-c-c-c-c-COCAINE I think maybe because they tune so low and Josh Homme sings pretty low too, that it's hard to make out the melodies therefore being less catchy and may seem monotonous to people.
Queens of the Stoneage is great. I love a lot of the songs I've listened to by them, although I don't listen to them much.
