I just went onto the PSP website thingy to make my account and all that stuff and have all the 'goodies' sent to me and then i go onto the download thing and i get completely baffled. I've printed off some instructions for downloading the content but wtf do i need to actualy be able to do this and where do i get it from? I don't want to sound stupid but i just don't understand. There was some mention of a memory stick USB reader/writer. Is this all i need? And where can i get one from for a decent price(GBP)?
You need a memory stick (basically that little... plastic thing that looks like a piece of paper ), and a USB connector that can connect your computer to your PSP. It works just like a digital camera or something. Once you go into USB Mode on the PSP, it'll be accessible via My Computer (I think). Then all you would have to do is drop the files in the respected places in the PSP directory. I don't remember how much I paid for my USB, but I think memory sticks are pricey, not sure though. You should be able to find all of the things you need at a computer store. I'm sure someone there could help you find what you're looking for. If anything, maybe take your PSP to show an example of what you need and maybe someone can help you find them. I hope this helped.
I've got the memory stick, it came with the PSP, but i have no USB to connect my PSP to the PC. But what USB do i need?
I forget the name of it, but when you go into stores, take the one that has 2 ends [one for USB, the other one for charging], so it's like a ---< cable. Can't find a link for it right now, so just look in stores for it...
Just for further clarification, to transfer data via USB, you need a USB A-B cord (Regular USB to small), they cost about $10 canadian at Walmart. You can also use a Memory Stick Adapter for those of you who have a memory stick slot on the front of your computer. Those can be a little more pricey. I have both, and to be honest with you, the USB method works alot faster than a memory stick adapter.
