The music video for Mike Shinoda's song "Promises I Can't Keep" is now available to watch on YouTube. Eagle-eyed viewers will note that a lot of this video was filmed at the Santa Monica Pier.

"Promises I Can't Keep" marks the 9th music video off of Mike Shinoda's debut album, Post Traumatic, which is available now.

My favourite song on the album.

Very Linkin Park-ish. The lyrics hit me deeply. Absolutely love the vocals.

Edit: Cool video, a lot of work on the editing. Mike seems to be having a great time recording it. I feel happy for him.

Yeah, the song + the video are pretty awesome. I am glad that Mike seems to enjoy himself.

Agreed, probably the most LP-ish song on the album.

Easily my favourite video so far for one of the best tracks on the album. The lyrics in this track speak volumes to what I'm going through right now. There was something amazing happening in my life that I was so certain about and then reality struck and I couldn't have been more wrong. So the chorus hits me like a tidal wave.

This song is a lot reminiscent of the Living Things Era, but it's less overproduced which is good. The video is okay, I like the fact that Mike is having fun but I expected it more meaningful. Still a really cool video.

Is it just me that I don't see Mike "just" having fun in the video?
It's more like life happening. Sometimes random things, other times good things, at times he's looking a bit distressed too.
One of the nicest videos so far IMO, love the transitions and the way it's constructed.

Yes, I agree. Brooding (Instrumental) + Promises I Can't Keep could be the Tinfoil + Powerless of Post Traumatic era. Some parts of Brooding reminds me of Yo (MTM demo), Issho Ni and The Requiem in a subtle way.

Going into the living things era vibes, it definitely feels like a sister song to I'll Be Gone. Love the video, had some really dope edits.

Wow really like the video and the song. Mike looked like he was holding back tears at one point in the video, cool edits, certainly feels like a thankfully less over produced LT era song.

This song is straight out of the Living Things era for LP. Great video, Fiore does an awesome job and it's nice to see the aggressive Mike in this.
Cool that things have come full circle. A lot of this is shot just a few blocks from Lincoln Park in Santa Monica, which is where Chester got the name for the band. He lived close to this Santa Monica Pier too. Crazy.
