http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/404612 For those of you that have heard of the amazing compliation package "The Orange Box" (w/ Half-Life 2 and it's first two "episodes") well there's a game in there called "Portal". The game consists of a series of puzzles which must be solved by teleporting the player's character and other simple objects using a single handheld device, with the goal of getting to an objective point. This "portal gun" and the unusual physics it creates are the main selling point of the game. Well, the link up above shows that someone out there created a 2D Flash version of it, and might I say...awesome.
Portal on The Orange Box is absolutely amazing. It's one of the most innovative/genuinely fun games I have played in a long, long time. But... I don't know. I can't say the same for the 2D Flash version. It just doesn't do the 3D version justice and is really buggy in some places. Other than that, it surely gives a good impression of the physics and bizarreness that is Portal. I really hope Valve give Portal its own run as a full game of some sort in the future though.
ive been playing a mod of hl2 called excite that mimicked portal for a good time time now. quite good.
