One of my favourite bands since their appearance on Max Payne 2 back in the day have just released their new single from their forthcoming album, Twilight Theater which is released March 17th. The song is Dreaming Wide Awake. I really like it. Revolution Roulette never really captured my attention in comparison to their first two albums, but I am really enjoying this song. Not my favourite video by them, but overall I really like the song and am really excited for their fourth album.
Omg I was looking for updates on them just a few days back and didn't get a single info! And now bam! Here comes a whole slew of info! I wasn't too satisfied with Revolution Roulette either. But I like the sound of this new song. Looking forward to the album!
I really like it and I also really like that they've brought back the synths - something that Revolution Roulette lacked. Overall I thought Revolution Roulette was crap in comparison to their other two albums but this song has me pumped for the fourth album. I always thought it was weird how in their native Finland they're one of the biggest bands around but virtually unknown to the rest of the world lol.
Wow it was pretty suprising to see here thread about POTF! I really like them but i never heard of them here in CZ...
So the album came out a couple of days ago and I've given it a few listens. I really like it but still feel it's not as good as their first or second efforts. It might be slightly ahead of Revolution Roulette though. A solid effort and some good lyrics, but the catchy melodies just aren't there that I felt with the first albums. I don't know, maybe I need a bit more time to listen or the time isn't right, but I'm not into it as much as I could be I think. Stand out tracks are Dreaming Wide Awake, Given & Denied, Heal My Wounds & maybe 15 Minute Flame.
I like it more than Revolution Roulette. To me it sounds like they partly recaptured some of the essences of the first two albums and partly ventured into doing something a little different. It's a good effort, but I miss the dark and mellow sounds that they had before. A little less guitar plucking, replaced with piano and heavy guitars, could've helped as well.
