WTF!?!?!?! where did you hear this from?? joy on my part But I guess im going to have to wait...oh well i still got my GBA SP
thats an old mock-up image... we dont know the final design yet
i thought it looked bad.
I read about this like, 5 months ago. The design is supposedly looking like a GBA (from what I saw in the blue print). I hadn't heard much more about it since, but I'm still interested in it. If I find the article, I'll scan it or something. Also, there's this guy who turns systems (like the Playstation) and turns them into handhelds. He's been making them for years, and well, they're not what you call a company design, but they actually work. The Playstation one I saw works with like, the CD is just running on the back of the handheld, and the screen is in front (I think it was an old Gameboy [the big, grey one]). Awesome stuff .
thats an old mock-up image... we dont know the final design yet
They did officially show this as the actual picture of the PSP. Also, I've just found out it's expected to hit stores in 2005...
From I4U News: A new European Sony Executive Chris Deering said in an interview with the company's PlayStation.com Web site that the current launch schedule for the Sony PSP handheld Game Console is November 2004. Of course a spokesperson at Sony Computer Entertainment downplayed the interview and said that the official launch date remains the fourth quarter of this year and is no more precise than that. So what we can say is that Sony tries to hit next Christmas with the new handheld Game Console. The Sony PSP portable Game Console, also called the 'Walkman of the 21st century' might only cost between $199 and $249 instead of the former published $300-$400. A EA representative said the games will cost around $40. In an article on CNN Money it also is said that Sony plans to initially ship 3 Mio. units. Shipping date for the Sony PSP is still November 2004.
I don't like handheld gaming that much, but I do like Sony CD players, so I'll have to look into this one. B)
Wow, really promising stuff. If it's good, I might even buy it . But the Nokia N-Gage is interesting too ... Anyone knows if there'd be a way to "plug" regular PS2 games into the PSP?
I was never a big fan of pocket consoles cause most often the games were bad looking and or for kids, but I feel this is changing. They finally understood we don't play Pokemon anymore . Anyone playing Pokemon here?
i dont play like a hobby anymore. its lost its trend factor to me. now its just another game. i havent played the new ones alot (ruby and something else :wth.
There is a final design for this thing now and record companies are going to start making there cds for the PSP so you can listen to your favorite artists on the PSP.
