I'm not sure if this has already been addressed, but I was wondering if there was any sort of protection on the cd that protects against ripping the songs off. I'm asking because I have a few cds that my computer won't even read but play fine on a cd player, so I can't upload the cd on to my iPod. Has this happened to anyone else?
To be specific, I want to buy the physical cd because I like having a hard copy and having the cd booklet and album artwork, but I don't want to waste money on a cd I can't play on my iPod. Should I buy the actual cd or get it from iTunes and forfeit the disk and album booklet?

Get the special edition. You can get the MP3's from the DVD.
