well that song is one of my faves off the album yes, but they like to save some of the best songs for the album, so when you buy it, your not only listening to the songs they put on the radio, but also the songs on the album. virtualy every lp song off the cd is radio worthy, they just have to pick and choose

And that's why "One Step Closer" was released as a single?

you know what i mean though, like when chesters screaming GO AWAY! Thats pretty hard. but yes i agree osc and crawling are also pretty hard. but those two werent quite as successful as ite. actually though i like the harder stuff better, just its not always really successful on the radio.

"Crawling" was actually more successful than "In The End" because "In The End" was HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY overplayed, ruining it in a sense. "Crawling" was never overplayed and was the song most people fell in love with LP for. Also, notice how Reanimation builds up to "Krwlng"? Yeah, their best song. :)

the fact that ITE was overplayed brought into a lot of dumbass teenie boppers into LP's fan base, something real, true, die-hard LP fans dont want. It makes us look bad when the majority of LP fans go around screaming "CHESTER IS SOOOOOOOOO HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO IS MIKE!!!!!!!!!!!"

I hear what your saying about there being all these teenie bopper fans man. But honestly thinking of it in the context of the band, do you think they care who their fans are? Probably not. But I'm with you when it comes to a hard-core LP fan. Its kinda like they are invading our space.

actually, they do care about those kinds of things.

LP will not do interviews with teen magazines, they don't appear on TRL or any other teenie shows. i saw a quote where Mike was talking about how hard they try to stay away from the mainstream by letting the music do it's thing instead of creating awareness brought about by Seventeen Magazine for example. they don't advertise alot, they let the fans do that. he also talked about how some bands spend hundreds of thousands of dollars, sometimes millions, to get their songs played on the radios. LP lets the fans call in to those radio and tv shows if they want to hear their music. this is another reason why i love these guys as musicians so much.

They have appeared on TRL once though, to Premiere the In The End video. But thats not that bad.

And I love the fact they wont do interviews with teenie mags. Those magazines are so stupid. I like looking at the pictures though, they usually have Britney Spears and Christina Aguilar half naked, so its cool then. :chemist:

I'm with you on this. I think it is rediculus with the "I LOVE [ENTER NAME HERE]!!!!!!!!" I wish I had that though, :(

I feel that they don't want to be really classified into a group. Like they said on "Frat party at the panakake festival"..."...doesn't want to be like, ok. here's our electronica verse, here's our hard rock chorus".

I do also feel that they want fans to think of them as actual people, and not manufactured puppets made to be anything the record labels stick on them.
