That's horrible news. In my opinion, he was the second-best Bond behind Sean Connery. I hope they get someone great to play Bond. Maybe even Colin Farrell, like the rumors in the past were saying.

He was the only thing keeping the Bond series alive.

I wish Farrell would take the role, but there's pretty much no way you'll get him to -- he doesn't want to ruin his career.

I guess the good news is that there are a lot of great choices to replace him. Still wish he would've done one more at least, though... well, still wish he would've been given the chance, I should say.

I thought we'd already known this.

Wow! Brosnan is 52?! It's amazing what the movies can do to make you younger...

In my opinion Farrell's career is going down the drain anyway. Alexander was a huge bomb and the only thing keeping him alive (the tabloids) have lost interest in him.

Back on topic: I don't know who I'd like to see as the new Bond. I'm sure they'll pick a decent one, but I don't know if he'll be as good as Connery or Brosnan.

Brosnan was good it's a shame he is done. Anyone think Hugh Jackman would do a good job?

While I don't really dispute that Alexander was a bomb and not a very good movie, I think it's hard to say his career is going down the drain when he simply hasn't been doing as many movies as he used to. Just because someone's taking a break doesn't mean their careers are going down the drain... if you thought like that then Linkin Park's career (collectively) is going down the drain.
