On January 11, 2014, Bad Religion and The Offspring will be joining Linkin Park at Club Nokia in Los Angeles to play a Music For Relief benefit concert to support the relief efforts in The Philippines following the destruction from "Super" Typhoon Haiyan. This thread is intended to talk about that show. Are there any songs that you would expect to see either of these bands play? Anything you want to see played live? Will you be going to this concert? Do you want to talk about your fundraising efforts? Let's use this thread for constructive conversation of everything pertaining to this show and the fund raising efforts to support the relief of Typhoon Haiyan.
The last "special" concert the band did, they really didn't do much out of ordinary besides adding an extra rap verse to Bleed It Out so I wouldn't expect Not Alone or Issho Ni, but we'll see. It's a concert for charity though, good for them for even doing it regardless of the setlist.
The show will be livestreamed: http://kroq.cbslocal.com/2014/01/03...g-bad-religion-benefit-show-webcast-jan-11th/
I don't know why, but I feel like they're gonna perform "A Light That Never Comes". Of course, without Steve this time.
It would be awesome if they played Roads Untraveled. They've used that song to promote the concert and they put it on the Songs For The Philippines album. That may mean nothing, but I just really want to hear it played live.
Just dropping this by here. Tinfoil Faint (w/2012 Outro) New Divide Waiting For The End (Apaches w/Wall of noise) Breaking The Habit CASTLE OF GLASS (Featuring Heart) Ballad Medley (Featuring Filharmonic) Numb (w/Numb Encore Outro) What I've Done (w/Piano Intro + Featuring Mike Einzinger) In The End (Featuring Mike Einzinger) BURN IT DOWN Bleed It Out (Featuring Travis Barker) Additional Notes - Alternative Guitar segments played by Mike Einzinger What I've Done - In The End featured a small segment from Pushing Me Away and alternative guitar segments - Mike delivered a "Thank You Message" throughout Bleed It Out's intro - Travis Barker played an extended drum segment throughout Bleed It Out's bridge
I feel like it could have had a better setlist. But hey, I enjoyed the performance, and that's all I care about.
That CASTLE OF GLASS performance was awkward. Pretty horrendous actually. lol'd hard. Dat drum solo with Travis and Rob was the tits doe.
