These guys are really amazing. I have just heard their new album and wow, it was such an amazing album. One of the best Australian bands I have ever heard. Lets discuss. + Knife Party has now been added.
I got into Pendulum WAAAAY back when Hold Your Colour was the shit. It's still easily my favorite song by them. They're pretty damn solid.
I thought it was really a 9 minute song before I started listening. I became depressed when I found out it was only 5:30. I just heard of Pendulum a couple days ago. But if this song is any indication of the rest of their work, I think we're going to have a good relationship.
Apparently they sound great live too. I am going to try and get a ticket to their show here in Adelaide.
Pendulum are known as a live act more than anything else -- with good reason; they do everything better live. The live DVD, if you ever pick it up, is f**king amazing. IMO, it's easily the best showcase of their music.
They really are amazing live. Here's the track I posted, Hold Your Colour, live.
I am edging towards really wanting to go now. I've seen so much great footage. I just am not sure about it because I did get my Linkin Park tickets for over $150 AUD which is a lot of money. I will ask, and see what I get as an answer.
everything Pendulum has ever done is great.. and yes they're amazing live too! i've seen them 3 times now and they have never been a disappointment!
Two bands I got introduced to via the good folks of LPA - Innerpartysystem and Pendulum. Both are nasty.
There was already a Pendulum thread but since it's probably over the 30 day without reply period, I'll let this stay. In short, Pendulum are one of the best bands out there in the moment in my opinion. It may be a bold statement, but I challenge anyone to find a band that sounds like them. There's conventional DNB out there and bands that mix electronica and rock together but no one hits the nail on the head like Rob Swire and co. I urge anyone who hasn't seen them live to pick up some tickets to one of their shows when possible because they're probably one of the best bands live in history in terms of energy and pulsating feel - but be warned, if you aren't into moshing and being in a lively crowd then it's probably best you get seated tickets! I've seen them live 5 times now (one of those being at LP's Road To Revolution DVD gig) and each time has been amazing. Strongly recommended songs - Blood Sugar, Hold Your Colour, Fasten Your Seatbelt, Streamline, Propane Nightmares, The Tempest, The Island pt 1, Witchcraft, Master Of Puppets (Live at brixton metallica cover), Crush, Watercolour, Masochist. Agent O - I think I'll take credit for that.
I knew about them before they were brought over here, so no taking credit for my love of the band. Sorry Hellflame.
Are you having a nostalgia moment or something? Calling me Hellflame, mentioning the Chain Gang...or did we hit a time warp and we're back in 2006?
