Love this show... Rashida Jones is sooo lovely. So is Aubrey Plaza. You can't go wrong with Aziz Ansari either! Then there's Nick Offerman, OMG SO great.
Was funny from the very first episode to me but I digress. Anyway, this show has also been renewed for another season.
I REALLY need to start watching this. People say that it's on par with The Office. But right now I got too much shit to watch as it is. But I definitely will get to this soon.
*points to avatar* Recently got into the show and basically watched the entire thing in 3 weeks. Ron Swanson is perhaps my favourite TV show character, up there with Tobias Funke from Arrested Development and Hooch from Scrubs.
The first season isn't particularly good in my opinion, but once you get to the end of that/the beginning of the second it begins to improve at a really high rate.
No, not even close. Arrested Development had so many layers of sarcasm, innuendo, inside jokes, wordplay and pop culture references that it was simply a brilliant show. As far as I'm concerned it's the smartest comedy television show of its time. That being said, P&R is a smart comedy. It's like The Office with less awkwardness and more excitement.
I think Arrested Development is more or less on its own at the top, but Parks & Rec is on the next level down or so.
I think if you take Community and Parks and Recreation together it can add up to almost as good as Arrested Development.
Just watched last Thursday's episode. Fucking hilarious. I've changed my mind. 'Parks' is the best show on television at the moment. "With all due respect, stick a german muffin in it"-I laughed for a good 30 seconds
From what I have seen of The Office and from what I've seen people who watch both say, at first she more or less is a female version of him. She gets developed a lot more after the first few episodes though. I didn't like the earlier episodes a whole lot in general. Not that they were horrible but to me it was just another sitcom, besides me being glad that Aziz was starring in it and thinking "lol that girl's playing Julie in the Scott Pilgrim film".
Oh don't get me wrong, I'll still keep watching the show. Every TV show takes a little time to find their footing. Edit: Done with season 1. Started enjoying it more with every episode.
