Why do brad and pheonix playing acustic guitars? I hear no acustic in papercut. And why is rob just starting off into space on the couch should he be playing the drums?
Papercut isn't a typical set-up video where the band is playing while there is a story. That's just the way they had it set up. It is a weird video but still awesome.
Yeah, I mean if you look at their surroundings an acoustic guitar would fit the setting well. As for Rob, where would they put a drum set? But anyways, the video is supposed to be a little farfetched I think. It's not really supposed to make sense.
my guess is the video is about paranoia and LP are just in some room randomly jamming and there surrounded by these 2 rooms where unusual things are going on, and Rob seems to be the only band member actually taking notice to things going on around him, then the face, then the blue man, you know? actually i have no idea what im talking about...
As far as I see it: The acoustic guitars are for effect, it just looks better on the video's set. Rob doesn't have a drum set because he is supposed to be just chillin on the couch (chillin on couch =/= big-ass drum set). The one member who is noticing all the weird #### going on around them just happens to be the only one without his drums... Seems they just gave him something to do in the video, besides have half his face start to slide off.
Well i think Rob is useing his magical drum like mind to play the drums in his head and make it come out his ears. hmm...well any way my theory is:the power of jamming out and transmitting emotion into rhymes is far greater than any evil. Knowing this they have no reason to be paranoid.
Maybe he was the one in the story that faced all the paranoia, because they did that effect with his face. Wait...no...that was the blue guy that was the story person. I dunno.
I think Rob playing drums probably would have made the video more energetic, but I still like it as it is.
I'm sure thats the darkest video they made, even darker than "crawling". the guy in the room next to linkin park goes nuts, in the end there are everywhere these green insects, flying and sorrounding the guys, robs face is changing into a monster style and so on. and I love this punk style of chester
Hmm...would of been interesting to see 'the face inside' come into the room at the end....wonder what the band would do
i really thought i was making a point or making sense then i re-read it and realized it made no sense... oh well :wth:
is it just me or did I see Rob and Mike's face become smudged towards the end of the video? That was pretty scary..
i really thought i was making a point or making sense then i re-read it and realized it made no sense... oh well :wth: [/b][/quote] no i get your drift Toast. i'm guessing the plot line is something like the band is doing some kind of rehearsal session and then as the song kicks in, more and more strange things start to happen. i'm not saying it the song, but the house itself. yeah rob seems to be the only one noticing the hands come out of the painting, and the walls expanding and contracting. lol maybe his face "smudge" was his punishment. (i have too much time to think about this its quite depressing ) i never saw mike's face actually get smudged, but i think i know what you're on about though. i think it was just his facial expression at the time.. *shrug*
