Samples from Pain of Salvation's new album, "BE". It promises to be a masterpiece that journeys into classical, folk and electronica as well as prog and metal. This may well be one of the most groundbreaking albums of the last few years. Here are some samples, just to get the general sound:

    04. Pluvius Aestivus
    05. Lillium Cruentus
    07. Dea Pecuniae
    10. Nihil Morari
    Latericius Valete
    Iter Impius

    Label's Description:

The music fills your soul, violently throws you off course in a split second, just to catch you in the next blink of an eye and carefully guide you across unwalked ground, filled with cracks and undertow. Raging fury turns to bittersweet tears, and intimate emotions will suddenly take you across breathtaking depths and pulsating hunger...
Welcome to “BE” – the latest work of Pain of Salvation – in a stage production together with the Orchestra of Eternity. In the middle of a breaking point between classic music and progressive (in its true meaning) metal we are all on trial with questions, answers and suggestions on the human existence. From the macro perspective in a mind boggling tale of creation, down to the micro perspective of social patterns and emotions. All of this in a shifting framework of strong musical and visual experiences in a unique mixture of Pain of Salvation’s special take on music; metal, the 70s, musicals, folk music, rap, pop and techno – all with a rusty edge of drama and dense lyrical messages, broken loops and an orchestra as you’ve never seen them before…

“BE” is about you, about the world that we all inhabit and the patterns we all participate in. About the fact that the humans we allow ourselves to become today will create the world that forms our descendants tomorrow. It’s about you. It’s about us!
