THE rock star Ozzy Osbourne had emergency surgery last night after breaking his neck in a quad bike accident at his Buckinghamshire home this happened on monday, i think its pretty sad, he's like what, 55?
According to the doctor treating him: "He had a fractured left collarbone, he had some damage to the blood vessel that lies underneath it, he had eight fractured ribs on the left side and in addition to that he has a small, entirely stable fracture of one of the vertebrae in his neck." That's pretty bad
But if you read the MSN Article, you'd see that they said the injuries were not life threatning. The only concern was the bone lying on the blood vessel and they got that out of the way. Ozzy will just have to go through a lot of therapy. Did anyone hear his duet with his daughter Kelly? It's interesting. . Kelly has a 'different' sounding voice, it's just too bad her looks aren't as good as her older sisters' looks.
My first reaction : can't change nothing much to his brain. My 2nd reaction : that's always sad, but #### happens....
- Dec. 11, 2003 World Entertainment News Network is reporting that Ozzy Osbourne may never sing again after the horrific ATV accident this week which almost left him paralyzed. Osbourne broke six ribs, a collarbone and a vertebra in his neck after losing control of the vehicle in the grounds of his Buckinghamshire, England, estate on Monday. Doctors at Wexham Park Hospital in Slough, south England, where Ozzy is being treated in intensive care, say the singer is making slow progress — but they fear he may never regain his voice. Medical director Dr. Ricard Jack says, "He is not physically able to come off the ventilator yet. While he has got a tube in his throat he can't talk but, while awake, he has been making progress with people. His progress will be slow." When asked if the 55-year-old former BLACK SABBATH frontman will be able to speak once the tube has been removed, Jack responded, "We don't know." that doesnt sound good :wth:
Maybe this will serve as a wakeup call and he will finally quit doing whatever drugs he does. People always think that he's perma-fried, but that's not really the case. I've seen episodes of The Osbournes where he's fully capable of being highly intelligent, he's just a stone-jockey Anyways, even though I'm not a fan, I hope he gets better.
Those would be the drugs he's taking to make himself more receptive to his environment because his brain is so fried due to the other drugs. Really serious stuff for Ozzy. I feel terrible for him. I wish him a very safe recovery and I hope he gets his voice back.
