This question sorta goes with the original one. Me and my friend were arguing about who sings a part in Crawling: "There's something inside me that pulls beneath the surface" etc towards the end, under Chester's chorus. Now, I say it's Chester, but my friend says Mike, because he mouths it in the video and because he does the part live. But I'm saying that on the album it's Chester. Anyone know?

In the album version Chester sings that.
In the video, you also hear Chester's voice but you see that Mike is singing that part, maybe because he does it in concerts...

I hope you understand what I mean...

Seeing as it's quite impossible for Chester to sing two parts at once, Mike gets to do the other part.

Yeah, I think they both scream it. I know on Faint on the end lines, Mike goes I Can't Feel along with Chester as well as Time Won't Heal.

if you have two vocalists like chester, you could do the faint chorus like on the album - while one says "I can't feel ... I won't be ignored", the other would say "The way I did before, don't turn your back on me" - that's how it's made.

as for mike's backing, i heard he says "I'm tired of being what you want me to be" at the end of Numb - which, coincidentally, is just like the end of Crawling where the line "There's something inside me that pulls beneath the surface, consuming" is sung. I know chester sings the line on Numb, but on Crawling ... I don't know. All I know is that Mike and Chester back themselves on Meteora 'cause they think it sounds better. Don't know about HT though.
