In Cauda Venenum is out September 27th. Hjärtat Vet Vad Handen Gör//Heart in Hand; Swedish and English versions back to back. English version starts at 08:27, lyrics are in the description box. Mike talks a little about the song:
I listened to Sorceress after it came out and liked it a lot, but I would like to get started with Opeth, so which album/albums do you recommend that I listen to first? I probably won't have the patience to listen through the entire discography because there are many 2019 albums I should listen to as well and haven't had time.
I hear you, 13 albums of dense prog metal/rock would take a long time to get though. My personal favourite is Watershed (which was the last one they did in the Prog Death Metal style). General consensus seems to lean towards Blackwater Park being their magnum opus, with Still Life and Ghost Reveries regularly being high in the rankings too. Those 3 are also in that same general style as Watershed. You can't go wrong with any of those. Those 4 plus Sorceress would round out my Top 5. If you're looking for something more laid back, Damnation is basically just an album of folk rock ballads. Or Heritage, which is like 70's prog rock with some folk and jazz influence, nothing all that heavy. Pale Communion is probably the most like Sorceress overall. Good luck!
