This is how I'm setting up the song:
Different parts of the verse are loops with slight moderations with the voice to fit the lyrics.
    (Opening bassline)
    (Drums come in)
    (Riff for chorus comes in)
(Verse riff introduced and carried throughout verse)

    VERSE 1:

    Part 1:
    I see the light but
    Blackness still covers
    In this void I'm stranded
    Each limb fighting another

    Part 2:
A futile attempt to break free
Its like swimming in the ocean
With your legs too numb to feel

    Part 3:
    I thought we had understanded
I thought I could relax, but
As soon I as I did so
    My fragile shell was cracked
    (bassline before chorus)

    CHORUS:
    I need someone desperately
Someone ready to try and see
    Open your eyes now quietly
I'll share my thoughts now privately
    (Guitar Interlude)
    (Drum Interlude)

    VERSE:
    Part 1:
All a dream in the beginning
Lost without a sense of feeling
I wanted to know what I was becoming

    Part 2:
But you only pretended that you were listening
I could have been rescued then and there
From the prison I put myself into

    Part 3:
    But uncompassionately you stared
The eyes cold as the snow of winter
I lost all my hope then, who could I trust
(Hope left as my sanity collected dust) ----> removed in the song version

    CHORUS

    BRIDGE:
Hell icier than you could believe
Can't imagine how I'll get out
    I have always been deceived
    How is this any different?

    (SOLO)

    OUTRO:
I have one last secret of mine to confide:
    This is all your fault.

(I will also go through it and rework and improve sections)

Wow thats really good, but I dont like the "theres a lot of difference" line. Thats the only thing I have a problem with, but still its really good.

To the solo part: do you play, or are you just outlining?

LOL If I'm just outlining for now. If I happened to make a song to it I would write the solo for it! Hmmmm, I should write a song right now (sets up Guitar Pro)

And I'll fix that take out that line, I totally agree with you!

    thnx

lol thats no problem that you don't know, its just midi software: a program that lets you write music. You can do arrangements for all kinds of stuff but this specializes on the guitar. You can put bends, vibratos, harmonics, and all kinds of effects in your compositions. I have composed 3 short instrumental pieces (about 2-3 mins each) for guitar, bass, and drums, but now I wanna create a song that has vocals so I need to put in some repetitive sections. :)

    @Will: Thanks!

You can go to the website and buy it, but I recommend downloading it off Winmx (that's were I got it). Get Guitar Pro 4. You can also go to MySongbook.com and get music (its like sheet music w/tabs) from other artists like LINKIN PARK and see how they did their songs.

Ahh, cool. I play bass, so I could use the sheet music. But I don't play LP, they are way to easy. I try TOOL, Disturbed, and Adema...

I don't have WinMX though, I used to have KaZaA, but we got a whole bunch of viruses from it.

I have got a cool chorus riff and verse riff, but fitting the lyrics in and doing the bridge/solo will be the hard part. I don't have much time over the next week so it may take a while.

Anyways, how can I get the file to you guys?

I have MSN, and Windows Messenger...pretty much the same thing, lol. But that's all...you could also send it in email, but I have free hotmail and can only have so many Kb's, and I don't know how many the song would be....

I just got your PM, and I'm on MSN waiting, so whenever your ready, I should be on, but if I'm "away" I will be gone eating.

Whoa...9 hours, you gotta be getting tired of staring at a computer screen for that long...

OHHH  ...Work!! I knew that....really

Yes, I have the file, but none of you can have it!! It is mine, mine, all mine....

Odaton: What can I use to open a gp4 file?? RealOne won't play it, it says the format isn't backed, MUSICMATCH Jukebox won't open it, and Windows Media Player says the same thing RealOne says...

Oh and by the way everyone, I was kidding...if you want the file, I will send it to you. :p

The only way I know how would be a program that supports Midi, preferably Guitar Pro 4

I presumed you have it. If you don't then download it off Winmx.
