Why is SOB in the video if they aren't a part of the song?
the same reason chester, brad, phoenix and rob are in the x-ecutioners' video for "it's goin' down" when they're not part of the song. they're there for the hell of it. and mike says its unlikely their scene will make the final cut anyway.
They're just making cameos. Think of them as actors, only instead of acting they'll probably just be standing there bopsing and whatnot.
just like in every hip hop video...gotta rep that crew son!
We have yet to hear Brad's input, so I'm hoping it will blow us away. I agree the use of the N word is unnecessary. I will say I'm not a fan as of yet though. There has been huge hype about this, however I thought it would be more of a Busta Rhymes track anyway. It is something new that LP has done and I think the Hip Hop community will like it.
I don't really like the idea of this track. And I don't like Busta.
But this sounds like a HUGE radio hit. I don't hope it will be.
im liking this a lot
cant wait for the full track, we'll get that on tuesday (my birthday!) yey!
the track is ok i don't have much of a problem with it though Busta is capable of better, though i'm sure mikes verse will make up for it once the whole song is out
Judging from the clips, I think it'll be a pretty epic Busta track.
And everyone who's getting worried about N****, it's not like Busta's gonna change his style just because LP is on the song.
Anyways... Young Buck + Chester had the N-Bomb in it.
On a side note, Chester's tone sounds kinda like Akon in DJ Khaled's We Takin' Over.
I was discussing it with somebody the other day and I'm realizing that it might be too early to judge this song due to the fact that only 30 second clips have emerged.
I know a few of us (even myself included) weren't too keen on What I've Done when the clips first surfaced of the chorus, and then once we heard the whole thing we loved it. So yeah, it's probably best to keep our judgment reserved until we hear the final product.
I seem to recall more of us being enthused by the piano opening and mini guitar solo clip in that song and then very disappointed at the final track <_<.
But yeah, either way, let's reserve judgment.
Not me. I definitely thought the 30 second sample was really bad, then I heard the full song and loved it.
I clearly remember you saying that What I've Done was "the worst song LP's ever done" the day the full track leaked. You hated it at first and changed your mind after about a week, like you usually do.
Chester sounds really good on this but Busta just ruins it. Plus, I've never been a fan of modern day rap to begin with. I think the only parts of this I am gonna like are the parts with Chester. Does anybody know if Mike will be rapping on this? I'd love to hear him on this song rather then Busta. Actually, I wish that is how it was cause that would make for a great song.
Pretty sure that's not right. I distinctly remember hating the sample, but I remember blasting that shitty mp3 rip we got from like the South American radio station in bad quality all day. I changed my mind when I heard the whole thing.
And yeah just about everything else was the 1 week thing. I don't think WID was though.
I remember saying it was one of LP's worst songs and I still don't think it's too good of a song. Definitely grew on me, but I still don't like it.
Yes, Mike has a verse on We Made It. Hopefully a good one.
Wow, it's like nobody wants to listen to a Busta Rhymes track for Busta Rhymes anymore.
And I definitely wouldn't call Busta Ryhmes modern day rap. That would be um, Soulja Boy, sadly. Does anyone even remember Leaders of the New School anymore?
Sounds pretty damn hot to me. Not a big fan of Busta, but I do look forward to hearing Mike's verse.
The beat and Chester's hook are ace.
Track sounds good.
