Man, this thread is stretching more than Viscera's underpants. Anyway, i'm looking forward to the game, the change of direction is much needed. Hopefully it won't be a letdown.
It's weird...it almost depends on the resolution. Like when I wasnt logged in just now, it was stretching...now it's not. Stupid LPA.
Says the admin. It looks like Crystal Dynamics has fixed what was wrong with Tomb Raider in general before... overall crappiness.
The first post has been updated with the first official promotional wallpaper for the game. This wallpaper is extremely high quality, and shows the new Lara Croft model in all its glory.
Yeah, the trailer looks really good. I'm not too sure about the motor bike parts though, it would have to be done well for it to work. Also, from the trailer, the game looks balanced really well from action to adventure etc.
E3 Update! Brand new "Spitfire" trailer added to first post under Official Trailers. Check it out. New screens coming very soon. If you wish, you can register at http://www.tombraider.com and view them now, in their 320x240 versions.
Great new trailer, the lock-on aiming system looks really good. It's a lot like the first trailer in that it shows a balance between action & adventure. That was a sweet dive into the lake too hopefully that's in game and not part of a cut scene.
I love the fact they used Spitfire in the trailer too. I'd be very happy if they had music like that during heavy action scenes, and old style TR1 music during exploration.

I think that might be the case, much like in POP2 where they had Godsmacks "Stand Alone" during the action and chase sequences. It makes sense.
New E3 screens added to the first post, plus some concept arts for the game. Be sure to check those out along with the Spitfire trailer that has just been added. More screens, 'first impressions' (there is a running demo there) and trailers to come tommorrow when Tomb Raider: Legend makes its official E3 debut at 5PM PST.
Those screenshots look pretty sound. The graphics should be, well are, awesome. I need to start playing TR games
Just updated the thread with a new IGN article under "Press releases". Apparentely Tomb Raider: Legend's title has a new meaning as the story will explore Lara's origins and how she became a Tomb Raider. Anyone who owned the very first game (back in 96) and read the manual will know that Lara was coming home from a skiing trip when her chartered plane crashed deep in the Himalayas, resulting in her being the sole survivor. An interesting fact in addition to the fact the story will explore Lara's origins, is the fact that she will indeed be visiting the Himalayas (in addition to West Africa, Russia, Peru and Bolivia, and three other locations that have yet to be mentioned) and that newly released concept art shows a downed plane, which could very well be the plane that Lara nearly died in. Moving on...in addition to the new press release, you can download two new gameplay movies (one clocking in at over 2 minutes!) of the game in action under 'trailers'. Also added is a downloadable version of the new official "Spitfire" trailer. Enjoy! EDIT: I fixed the error with the 'leeching' message with the GS/IGN footage. You will be directed to the download page now.
Well, I just added a lot of updates and I assure you a lot more is left to be done. But for those interested, I've added scanned E3 postcards that show off Lara's new model, SEVERAL new stories under "Press Releases/Information" some new concept art, new screens under Magazine scans (Play Magazine) and much more. A few points of interest is that Lara's Mansion is going to return in some form or another and that Legend's soundtrack is Over 120 Minutes (aka 2+ hours) long. Also, for anyone who knows Lara's official bio (as found in TR1) we will get to explore the plane crash that made her who she is today. But I wouldn't dare waste all the updates here so, check out the first post folks! Part 2 of the update will be coming tonight.
Lara's Mansion! I loved that place! I thoroughly enjoyed trapping the butler in the freezer.
Yeah. Lara's mansion was a game in itself i always thought.
