Finally listened through to the end of the soundtrack -- my God, that Bryan Ferry cover is soooo good
I'm iffy about listening to the soundtrack before watching the film. I feel like it will take away from the experience of watching the film itself. edit: Listened to "Is Your Love Strong Enough?". *jizzes pants*
I can't get into this soundtrack or even the HTDA track. And i LOVED the Social Network OST. Disappointing.
who's got 2 thumbs and bought ghosts. . . this guy. lol I know, few years on the late side. it really is good though. not mind blowing but good
Trent Reznor: the film director? Wow. That might be a possibility in the near future, apparently. Suck on that, Marilyn Manson.
From Trent's Twitter Also, I'll never get tired of him telling people to download/torrent his old stuff, either. He provided a PirateBay link and it's on the front page of Reddit lol.
No idea. I imagine it'll be released a few weeks after its completion. However long it takes them to make up some CDs/vinyls and setup a website. I'd guess it's going to cost at most $5 for the digital album. Maybe even free.
I've liked everything since Pretty Hate Machine up into The Downward Spiral. I haven't listened much to any of the later albums, but I'm going to listen to The Fragile sometime soon. I also agree with the people that say With Teeth sucked. The only actually decent songs on the CD are "The Hand That Feeds" and "Sunspots" (which doesn't sound like Trent's style at all).
I still think With Teeth is some of his best stuff. It just doesn't have the continuity like The Downward Spiral, The Fragile, or Year Zero have. I'm a sucker for concept albums. But the songs on there are amazing.
I don't mind "With Teeth" ... but I'm a little biased, it was the first Nine Inch Nails album I ever bought and listened to, rather than the fourth.
'Home' was the best song on With Teeth and it was a bonus track. I can't really get down with a lot of the lyrics on With Teeth tbh, too simple and not really thought provoking like most of the albums. The song structures were also pretty uninteresting.
All The Love In The World is the highlight for me. And the final 3 songs are a sick finish. And I think Home is pretty average to be honest. I don't see how it could justify being on the album.
If I had a top 5 from With Teeth... 01. Right Where It Belongs 02. Beside You In Time 03. The Hand That Feeds 04. Every Day Is Exactly The Same 05. All The Love In The World I don't think the album is up to par with NIN's other releases, but by no means is it a bad album in my opinion.
I always gathered that With Teeth was disliked because it was NIN's most commercial sounding album. If you take out that fact, its not really a bad album. A lot of good on it imho.
