It's a really good interview with Trent's thoughts on the way things are done these days, talks about embarassing music on his ipod, Tapeworm, record labels, gives advice to up and coming bands, nin iphone application, and if you can find a transcript of it it's definitely worth checking out. During the tour, Trent said in one interview that after NIN gets off-stage, he'll be joining people on the lawn to watch Jane's Addiction. How cool is that.
Seriously, there's tons of people who assume automatically that he's stupid, my mother included. I don't get it either, because most of the people who say that don't even have anything to back up their claims.
New, but also old. This interview went up on the 7th last month. And I'll agree with Casey on this point, she's pretty cute.
While we're on the subject of interviews, here is a webcam interview with Trent conducted by Papagolash of ETS/nin.com forums. It's looking more and more likely that Trent has made up his mind that, at the very least, NIN is on an indefinite hiatus after this tour. Thank god I'm seeing them at Bonnaroo this year.
Yeah, I like Blink 182 and the Police and all those bands that have reunited, but I'd trade all those bands to have one more NIN album. I've basically grown up with Nine Inch Nails, it's really sad to see this end. Atleast they're going out with a bang, it seems like. Touring with old friends, debuting songs never performed live before... it'll be a great tour, i'm sure. And apparently they'll be playing "Lights in the Sky", and erasing "Closer" from the setlist. Hell yeah.
When I saw them they didn't play Closer, or Starfuckers, or a lot of the more generic live NIN songs. We got Burn and The Fragile and some obscure stuff though. And great as that was, seeing as it was my first NIN show, I actually wanted them to play Closer, just for the sake of it.
I was really disappointed they didn't play "Dead Souls" at the show I was at. Only because it was on Halloween, though. Master Shake was in the front row.
wow, so tonight was the first night of the NINJA 2009 tour. check out this bomb-ass setlist. "Gone, Still" was played too, apparently.
