No idea. I'm assuming they mean aggressive in the same way that Hyper Music and Stockholme Syndrome were aggressive. Also, Louis, I agree with you %100. Absolution is fantastic in sequence, but song by song there are some weaker ones there.
I hope aggression means more like Origins. As for the b-sides, I've been catching up on a lot of albums I missed out on last year, so it's on hold. On another note, anyone know what this cover is for? http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f90/jenxy_penxy/Helmet.jpg
Hmm..... don't recognize it. It seems like it's in the style of the Knights of Cydonia single artwork, so maybe its in the booklet for that. The helmet also fits the Knights theme.
Not really news, but just wanted to say that Muse was featured in IGN's "most anticipated of 09" list: http://music.ign.com/articles/947/947714p3.html
Okay, FINALLY something, but it's really strange. Tom Kirk (who's the bands archivist/manager of online stuff/random cool guy) has posted a video of the Dom recording a drum track for the new album in a field of sheep, for some reason. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=X8kkMyfQA4g Um.... Pretty awesome.
He seemed to be counting off into the phone, though, so I think it was playing a track Matt or Chris laid down before and he was keeping tempo with it.
Hmm, this is interesting. None of this is confirmed, so take it with a grain of salt, but reports have come in saying that the band started recording the first song for the new album yesterday, and the new CD is tentatively set for a September release by Warner. Also, they have apparently booked a tour of France (or Europe) for around November. Considering that all of these dates come from different sources, and yet all fit together, i'm inclined to believe it. Also, it seems about right for when they started working on the album.
Yeah, they're definitely taking their time with this one. Didn't they start last summer sometime? Seems like a long time to make an album. Still, I don't want them to rush it. And since they're self producing and everything it's bound to take them some more time to get a handle on things. I just hope that they don't overthink it. BHaR was originally more experimental and orchestral, but then they produced it too long and made it very dancey and clean. I just hope that they don't overdo it this time. Still, I have faith in them.
So, September is basically confirmed now. We don't have a press release or anything, but several well-respected people within the Muse community are saying that they know (and have known for a while) that September is the month. This is still a rumor, but it seems to be true So, mark your calendars everyone, new Muse! Woot! EDIT: Also, if you feel like it, you can already pre-order the album here: http://www.play.com/Music/CD/4-/8579468/New-Album-TBA/Product.html
I feel so weird continually posting without anyone else in the thread . Whatever. I shall continue! This isn't big, but the band posted a new picture of an insane synth on their Twitter: http://twitpic.com/1e46n Also, here are some pic's from the Radio 1 ident: http://twitpic.com/1ccla http://twitpic.com/1cciy Just to clarify, an ident is a TV advertisement for a radio station. The ident will have Muse playing Knights Of Cydonia, according to a group of fans who won a contest to appear in the video.
Come on people, at this rate im gonna get like a quintuple post going or something . Be excited! New Muse album! Here are new pics of recording: http://twitpic.com/1g3nn http://twitpic.com/1g3q1 http://twitpic.com/1g3t6 http://twitpic.com/1g3z6 http://twitpic.com/1g45q http://twitpic.com/1g3zg Here's the website for the bands twitter: http://twitter.com/musewire I'm so excited.
I'll post just for the sake of c-c-c-combo breaker. I was watching all the Wembley DVD vids today, that was a helluva show especially New Born at the end.
Thanks for posting. People, even if you have nothing to say, just post so that I know people are actually reading this stuff . Anyway, I tend to not watch Muse live vids. I don't want to spoil it for if I ever go see them. That being said, I watched a freakin amazing vid of Citizen Erased live. I'll have to track that down and post it, it's amazing.
Not really anything new, but Muse just sent out an email newsletter: Again, nothing exciting, but it's nice. Also, Shadey, did you listen to those b-sides?
