I think they spend too much time shit-talking other bands and therefore I can't respect them. I'm sure they're talented but I have no respect for bands that do nothing but talk about how much better they are than everybody else.
I fucking love these guys, to this day. Well, their material that can be taken seriously, anyway. Never found any of the joke material all that funny. I love the CKY videos, though. Much more funny and disturbing then it's little brother, Jackass. Infiltrate.Destroy.Rebuild is awesome. I'm going to go find that CD. Or download it.

Pure crap, if the name Margera wasn't tied in they wouldn't be selling anything let alone 50k albums. They'd still be sitting in West Chester, PA playing in bars plain and simple. Like Derek, they've never had my respect. I'd rather listen to Social Distortion and Bad Religion. --RS
Your calling this band crap? Well how about you go buy all their albums...that shall change your mind. Edit: Bad Religion and Social Distortion are way different then CKY. So i suggest you listen to more of the band's music.
I have listened to them, I grew up listening to them cause my friends would. If they liked jackass they'd like this to! And to say they don't fall under nearly the same category as either social D or BR is just as bad. I remember growing up playing games like 'Tony Hawk's Pro Skater' and 'Dave Mirra's Freestyle BMX', Hawk's game featured CKY and Social D, which I heard both for the first time in my life. How can Chad say there not commercialized if everything is backed up by Margera and Jackass? They would have nothing. --RS
Their albums An Answer Can Be Found and Carver City (Not a lot of people know about this album because of really bad promotion btw) where not very commercial at all. The guys where close with the Jackass/Cky2k guys in the beginning, and they drifted apart, because of Hollywood etc. Edit: In other words, They did get some help by Bam/Jackass, But went on with a dedicated fanbase anyway, with albums not associated with Jackass.
I think they were in a few skits. I'm almost positive whichever one is Bam's brother was on a couple of episodes. If they weren't, though, then at the very least, they had people like Bam, Brandon, etc. on the CKY videos before MTV optioned them as a TV series and we got Jackass and all of the spin off shows.
I bought one of their albums years ago, partly because of the Jackass/Bam connection and partly because I liked 96 Quite Bitter things. To date that's pretty much the only song by them I like.
