At seemingly random times certain keys on my laptop keyboard have stopped working. It has mostly been on the right side of my keyboard involving keys like m, n, g, . and more. Nothing has spilled on the laptop and I've scanned for viruses but found nothing. I even checked for updates to my keyboard drivers. Weirdly enough, when I place it on a flat surface, sometimes the keys become operational again.

This leads me to believe that when my laptop is on an angle, such as on my legs while they're bent, that something within my computer case has come loose. Do any of our resident tech experts have any theories as to what exact the problem is, and how I can go about fixing it? It's seriously annoying when you're trying to type something and the keys aren't working.

    Thanks in advance!

It could be a loose connection in the keyboard. IF IT DOESN'T VOID THE WARRANTY you might want to take the keyboard out and take a look at the connections. I agree that the flat vs angle thing suggests a physically loose connection. If the keys are in the same part of the keyboard, the problem should be in one of the wires that handles those keys. You may be able to see which connection is shared by all the messed up keys, but no others, to narrow it down.
