Does anyone know what is the sound in the beinging of Numb, I know its on the keyboard but what tone?

 

By keyboard they didn't mean the piano with a certain tone. I think it is something else, although i could be wrong, it's possible that it's a piano. But if it is it sounds like they put effects over it. Best of luck tryin to recreate it man...

I dunno what that sound is, i tried to recreate it on fruity loops but it didn't work. Best of luck to try to create it.

I think the sound at the beginning sounds kind of like a distorted steel drum part...i dunno, thats just me

Hmm, a synthesized steel drum does seem accurate. Who knows! I never realized how much keyboard and strings (both real and fake) are inside this album. All day today I've been listening to the album with headphones at high volume and have discovered many things. Wow.
