Click here to check out the trailer for the upcoming film adaptation of the 1970s hit-TV show "Miami Vice", featuring a newly mixed version of "Numb/Encore". "Miami Vice", starring Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell, and directed by Michael Mann ("Heat", "Collateral"), hits theatres July 28th, 2006.

    Thanks to djg1285!

Okay slight problem....why is it bringing me to a website that has nothing to do with the trailer?

    EDIT: never mind

Am I the only one who thought this wasn't news-worthy?

That's interesting how they mixed Numb / Encore to fit in the trailer.

Who would have thought? Collision Course songs making movie trailers. Amazing.

I'm pretty sure that's not a new mix. Movie trailers always mess with the "structure" of songs for the trailers.

The song's been re-arranged. Therefore it's a new mix. Not a remix, but structurally different, and thus it's been mixed differently.

Yeah but movie trailers always have songs "rearranged" like that. If that song's actually in the movie it won't be any different from what's on Collision Course. Same if it's on the soundtrack.

    [Edit]
I'm not trying to argue or anything. I'm just saying that I've seen this a lot with songs where they'll rearrange the structure of the song for the trailer. They do that with a lot of rock songs for sports shows, too.

I'm well aware of that. But they can obviously be called new mixes of songs (this is differently structured).

Hey, look at that, a pointless argument.
