Holy crap, have you guys seen this? (This is where LP records their records most of the time.) http://nrgrecording.com/studios/ Check the 3 studios. What a beautiful, inspiring place to make a record! I don't ever remember seeing any of those on DVDs or LPTVs though, am I missing something here? :O Regardless, freaking awesome place to work on music.
Check out the bonus DVD's for Meteora, Minutes to Midnight, and A Thousand Suns. It also appears frequently in LPUTV. Also, for the outrageous price an artist pays per day to record in a professional studio, it better be goddamn fancy.
I've seen many of the LPTVs / Documentaries and of course they're inside NRG but I never took notice of the actual look of the studio. They seem to look way fancier in the website pics, but of course I knew they were on the DVDs.
That's because NRG is practically legendary with the amount of artists it's helped give birth to. Some of the best albums of the last 20 years were recorded there. Have a look here: http://nrgrecording.com/clients/ Naturally that's not all the CDs that were made there, but quite a big list.
NRG is really nice...maybe that's why LP has made all their records there except one. I have a soft spot for 'The Mansion' aka Houdini House that LP recorded MTM in because I actually went there, but NRG is probably a better fit for the band.
