Hi guys, big time lp fan. i was just wondering i just heard this song on youtube im sure some of you have might as well, its called No roads left now they are saying its a bonus track they did for the MTM album, im not sure if its an lp song, can someone confirm for me? it sounds like shinoda is doing the vocals in the beginning but as the chorus comes up, it doesn't sound like him, but the music definitely feels like LP. its a pretty good song LP or not. thanks hit me back.
yea. iTunes bonus track. i dont know if it's still there or if it was only for pre-order but i heard it. it's dope, i think. i like it better than "in between."
Yep, it's an authentic LP song and it's Mike on lead vocals with Chester on rhythm guitar and backing vocals. It's a Minutes To Midnight B-side which was only available as a bonus track to the special edition US iTunes pre-order of Minutes To Midnight. On the Minutes To Midnight DVD there is footage of Mike singing the track which at first had the working title 'Patients'. Apparently, the decision was made to cut the track from the album because the band felt although the song was good, it didn't fit in with the album - Much like the same decision which was taken when the High Voltage Remix was cut from Hybrid Theory. I personally think the song is magnificant and would have added to the album in a positive way. But then again some of LP's best work is the songs they don't include on albums such as Dedicated and the previously mentioned High Voltage Remix.
yea hellflame basically summed everything up, i think it definately would have added positively to minutes to midnigt as well
Usually when a song is cut from an album, it's probably because it doesn't flow very well with the album. Look at songs like My God Is A Reasonable Man and Thrones from Crisis by AOF, for example. Great songs, but if you put them in the normal album mix, it sounds awkward. I found the same thing with No Roads Left.
I personally think that No Roads Left would have fit extremely well with the album, and should have replaced In Between. I agree with User Name in a way, though, some of the best songs have been the ones they've cut. Dedicated is amazing. And look at MCR, they cut 3 amazing songs from TBP.
It's grown on me, and it's pretty decent. I would probably have included it instead of one of the power ballads (LOATR, SOTD, Valentine's day) as opposed to In Between.
It's an alright song. I think it just takes too long to buildup and that little disco drum-beat at the end always makes me laugh.
I guess they decided they'd rather have something other than hi-hats, being as they make up most of the drumming in the song.
Mike's big performances are cut out a lot... -Dedicated, from the Hybrid Theory EP. Personally i would have been happier if it had replaced High Voltage -High Voltage (Reprise), from Hybrid Theory. Like No Roads Left, i don't think it would have fit the album properly either though. Can't say that for Meteora though. Nobody's Listening was Incredible. Anyway, yeah it's an awesome song, and I wouldn't want it to replace In Between, but I think it was smart of them not to put it on the album.
