Yeah, I like them a lot. Some favorites would be "Rape Me", "In Bloom", "Pennyroyal Tea", and "Heart-Shaped Box."
I agree with Will here. There's no denying the amazingness of songs like "Heart Shaped Box" and "Rape Me" but they have some duds as well.
People say their over rated because "Smells like teen spirit" was overplayed and attracted fans that only liked that one song and then they go around sayin "nirvana are the greatest im their biggest fan" So I think its one overplayed song that makes them seem over rated If what I just said made any sence

It's sad because I bet you if Kurt hadn't killed himself and the band had stayed together, they'd probably have gotten pretty damn awesome.
IMO only Smells like teen spirit ok the rest is crap... but acctually i cant judge that because its not my taste anyway
Nirvana. Is. ####. They're not good, at all. Cobain's songwriting was average at best, his voice was shot by the time he reached the end of his life, and Nirvana is one of the worst bands in history, IMO. They ripped off many bands in their career, including, but not limited to, The Pixies. The only Nirvana CD I've ever liked was Incesticide. And even then I could barely listen to it, because the music was such "rubbish". Debate & disect my opinion on them, but you're not getting anything else out of me in this thread. They suck in my opinion, and that's all.
They rock! I only listen to Nevermind, because thats the album i really like. But the other albums.. mwah, they're ok i guess :whistle:
nirvana is good good. i like them. but i never call myself a nirvana fan because i cant relly relate to their lyrics.
Nirvana is awesome, but I do agree they're a bit overrated. They were one of the best bands to have come out of the 90s, and obviously have a lot of staying power, but I wouldn't say they were the best thing since sliced bread or whatnot. :wth:
A lot of people liked Pearl Jam more than Nirvana, but when Kurt killed himself that's what really gave Nirvana their fame.
In my opinion, that's the only reason they're still as popular today as they were then. Had Kurt not killed himself (or had Courtney not killed him, depending on what you believe), Nirvana would've eventually faded out.
