I'm really loving Nightwish lately, especially replaying "Nemo" again and again. ^_^ Does anyone else like them?

    I'm a sucker for symphonic metal. :p

I try and try.......unfortunately I just can't stand symphonic metal! But I greatly respect their songwriting skills and creativity.

I wasn't too fond of their latest album, but I love their old releases.

But aren't you the dude who introduced me to Symphony X? :D

Unless you don't classify SX as "symphonic"...

Wish I Had An Angel is different.

It's good, but the first few seconds is weird.

I downloaded their latest CD earlier and I cant stand them, the whole fact that the first song sounded completely like an opera lost it for me.

Well, first of all......I was thinking about Symphony X....and yes I do like them and they are kind of symphonic metal, but with a progressive leaning to them. They aren't as symphonic as Nightwish, and the orchestration/vocals aren't as overblown IMO. They use symphonic ELEMENTS but I wouldn't call them purely a symphonic band, because they have a lot of progressive/classic metal influences that makes them very listenable to me.....

However, I'll try again! I have downloaded a few songs by them but I'll get Nemo and see what I think :D

They're cool and everthing but I'm not into them much. It's funny, the music makes me think of vampires - vampire music.

I prefer calling Nightwissh power metal, mind you :p

And even though i don't like Euro- power metal, Nightwish are easily better than most female vocal bands.
