Nicki Minaj will release her third studio album The Pinkprint in 2014. If the tracks lifted from the album give us any indication, the album will finally return to Minaj's hip-hop roots, and will drop the pop-centric sounds and shock lyrics of her previous album, 2012's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which gave her considerably high negative reception. Two tracks confirmed to be on the album have been lifted thus far: "Looking Ass", which was also included on Young Money's Rise of An Empire, and "Pills N Potions" which will be released as a single soon. Not that bad actually. Something I could sit and listen to - especially since I have been much into Angel Haze and Iggy Azalea lately.
I can't believe anybody would actually listen to a song like Looking Ass. What a trashy, shitty song.
I honestly think "Lookin Ass" is a great song, in my honest opinion! It has the best lyrics Minaj has done in quite a long time. I honestly crack up whenever I hear, "Frontin' like they got a plan, Boost Mobile ass nigga"
I don't exactly love the song but I do like Detail and other producers of that ilk so the beat really appeals to me. And, besides, sometimes, trashy can be just what you need.
Lol are there people who actually take this bitch seriously? She could quite literally be the lamest excuse for a musical artist ever. Thats not even an exaggeration.
The funny thing is that people talk mad shit on music artists and bands like Justin Bieber and One Direction, but at least they're somewhat talented and don't have lyrics that only consist of "N**** this, n**** that". Sad part is that is what rap has basically become. It takes zero talent to do what Nicki Minaj does, she nor all the other talent-less music artist deserve to be famous. Pretty much.
She really has no place being that high on the totem pole. This is why we can't have nice things. Because of Lookin' Ass
No, I have. I'm saying this is the kind of rap the mass is being exposed to. This is all they know, to them this is what rap is. Of course there's still talented rap artist left, but there's not enough of them getting exposure. There's a few talented artists that are popular (Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, etc), but for the most part this kind of "rap" is what's popular and there's far more of it than the good ones.
Ugh, Nicki Minaj looks like a barbie doll most of the time, and I don't find that attractive what so ever. It's actually really weird.
