I was just wondering what you guys thought the new cd will sound like when it comes out (whenever that is) prob. next year (05') SIGH... and do you think that they'll do a Reanimation-type deal with Meteora? I've heard rumors that they are and its called De-Animation.??? Oh and does anybody offically know what Chesters abdominal problem was? :chaz: For now: the world waits
holy mother of god...that is the biggest frickin sig ive ever seen and no, your wrong they are NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT making another Reanimation.
gah, i cant believe the amount of people that spell it with two B's...people need to take english classes i think lol
i'm guess i'm gonna be the first one to relay answer the poor guys question.... they said they would remix a few songs but not an entire album. as for the new album i guess we will have to wait although i hope they make it little more hard rock sounding
ok. To finally answer the damn question like none of u did (except for Dark Moose): I think the CD will have different kind of twists sort of like Nobody's Listening with the flute and still maintain an "LP" sound. I hope that it sounds more like Hybrid Theory to get a much broader lyrics (not just sticking to pain and bad thoughts) and have the different sample and musical ideas of Meteora. Of course the CD will probably be enhanced with back stage stuff and that will motivate people to buy it.

"Songs songs remixed " songs the best so far! "Deanimation"? what was the person that thought that up thinking? [edit]: sorry if it was any of you guys!

If LP come to their senses, they will give their next album an 'A.06' feel. Heavier riffage and more complex lyrics isn't too much to ask!
Yeah, I LOVED the direction of 'A-06'! I think they need to have looser song structures too. And yeah, i hope there are less basic lyrics on the next CD, not much to ask for.
Ahh, my favorite song. What I want for the next album: 1. First of all, I do not want LP to change there sound. I love there sound, that's the whole reason I love them. I don't want them to go to death metal, yet I don't want them to goto pop. They need to stay exactly where they are...which is Linkin Park. 2. There are, however, things I would like to hear. The biggest being solos. g0dd&mnit Brad, c`mon! Don't get me wrong, I love LP's riffs, but it would be nice to add a solo as long as it fits. Not every song is fit for a solo, but some of LP's songs could of used one or two. 3. Longer songs. I'm sorry, but a 12-tracked, 30-35min CD just doesn't do it. The next album I want like 14-16 actual songs, plus maybe an instrumental by Mr. Hahn, and possibly a hard instrumental like A.06. I would also like the songs to be more like 4-5 mins long instead of 3 on average. And one more thing about the length, hopefully they don't do something really corny like on Meteora and make a 15 sec intro of Mike beating the hell out of a computer...whether that's true, I dunno, and don't really care. My point is, it was really stupid. 4. Harder songs. Ok, LP is considered by most people (yes, here we go with labels) Nu-Metal, Raprock, Alternative, or Metal. (And we all know they aren't metal.) Now, not saying any of that is right, and not saying I agree with labels, I would like them to get a little harder. I don't exactly mean just with the guitars either. Chester has it down, I love everything he does, his singing is great, and his yelling/growling, whatever you wanna call it, is great. Mike...I love Mike, I love the whole rap vibe it puts into rock. What I would like to hear though is more faster rapping...I mean on some of the songs, it really just sounds like he's talking. I know he's a talented guy, and I wish he would put a little more in. Now, to the guitars, I love the guitar sounds LP have. But...I don't know, I just want it harder. I can't explain it, just..harder. 5. Lyrics. Hybrid Theory was the best album of 2000, one for their sound and one for their lyrics. They were amazing, and everyone knows it. We also know that from HT to Meteora they went down in quality, greatly. I want them to describe like they used to, not just say. Anyways, there is another one of my long posts, and really all I want is a harder, newer, Hybrid Theory, but with a lot of twists...so, really...nothing at all like they've done. So, hopefully someone understood what I mean, because I do, I just dunno how to say it.
Solid analysis. All I'm asking for is that they put a bit more effort into their lyrics and come up with some new, innovative sounds. And please dont go any softer than they did on Meteora.
I don't know where you heard of any 'De-animation' but that's the craziest thing i've ever heard. I've never heard of such a thing, and they mentioned a long time ago that they weren't going to do a remix cd of any sort. They may have a few songs, and remix them and show them out into the public eye. But definently no remix cd for what I know of..
I haven't really put much into this until just now, actually. Well, to answer "when" I think it'd be like they said at the end of the year or possibly later (cus they had to perfect a few things! ) To answer the "what" question, I guess I kind of want to hear more of a balance vocally, I don't necessarily want them to do all hip hop because I really don't like all those "musicians" like Chingy etc. But I do want Mike to have more vocals. I want to hear some awesome guitar riffs, I know it can happen. So basically, I want to have something that I can keep on listening to over and over until they release the album after that. Meaning, no boring songs, which I don't believe I've ever heard from them. With all the other CD's I listened to them back n forth from school for a few months then put it on the bottom of my CD Tower, but with this one I bought it more than a few months ago and I'm still listening to it. Another thing I want to hear is summor turn table scratches. Well...I hope I didn't confuse anyone! :wth: Just about confused myself there....
Everyone keeps saying they want a "Harder, newer, Hybrid Theory". I for one, do not. In fact I want Linkin Park to stray away from Hybrid Theory as much as possible, because I'd rather see the band have full creative control then be under the constraint of having to live up Hybrid Theory for the rest of their lives. Don't get me wrong, Hybrid Theory was an amazing album but it's just time for the band to move on. On Meteora, you saw just what happened when Linkin Park tried to re-create the magic of Hybrid Theory, they tried too hard. They produced a watered down album that was tweaked to perfection and thus lost its magic in the process. So rather then make a "Harder, Better and Newer Hybrid Theory" I'd rather just see the band go back to doing what they came to do, which is blending the unexpected together without a hitch. I don't care if their next record is the most experimental record ever made, just as long as it's really good and what we've come to expect from the band. My advice to the band? Lose your boundaries and just do what you know best, which is blending the most unexpected genres together as if it was a walk in the park.....The Linkin Park.
