New LP Single Out in a Few Months? Brad LPU Chat (Transcript)

    Brad held a video chat with LPU members today. Although he didn't reveal much about the new album, he hinted at the possibility of new music being released relatively soon. Check out a summary of the chat below:

    • His favorite part of recording: he enjoys recording is being in the studio and recording with the other guys. It’s a great feeling coming up with something new. He is eager to share new music with us
    • Is the album more analog or digital: he can’t really answer that as he doesn’t know, he didn’t go to engineering school.
    • Will new music come out before the summer tour? He hopes to have new music out mid 2012 so it's very possible.
    • There will be new art designs for the new album, he is excited about the visual art.
    • They will work very hard to travel to different parts of the world, they are very excited to see the fans out on tour.
    • He joked and said there will be 53 songs on the record, each 20 seconds long
    • If he could play any show in the world, where would he play? He would like to play a show in LA because he wouldn't have to travel far.
    • He talked about Power The World and thanked fans about generating awareness
    • Solo tour date? he joked about playing an intimate show at his friends apartment by himself.
    • A new single will hopefully be out in a few months.

    Yay new Single! although apart from that he didn't really dish much out in this chat - which was to be expected really :lol: Nice one Brad!

    Obviously last statement is the most important one ;D .. Can't wait!! Also I can't believe my two favorite bands are releasing an album the same year and probably with just a couple of months in between, 2012 definitely rocks..

    The only interesting things said at this chat were in response to my questions. You're welcome, LP fan community.

    It's now all but guranteed that we're getting new music this summer at the latest.

    This is actually enough info. It is a good thing that we don't know how will the album sound like - our surprise will be bigger that way - and it seems like we're almost definitely hearing the record this summer. :clap:

    theyll probably have a new single out before or during the summer tour. i hope so. the best time to be alive is when linkin park are releasing new music. such exciting times!!!

    Even though he tried to be ambiguous with his answers, you can tell that this is definitely happening. He kept talking about "playing the new music" to us, which to me implies that they'll have new music before the tour.

    New single - I think that it will be coming out before the summer tour.
    New album - Mid 2012, so it will probably be coming out after the summer tour.

    Thanks for asking good questions, Ben! The new single news is pretty exciting.

    My first LPU chat and it was a fairly short one if what people were saying is true. Still got some interesting information at the end there. Brad definitely likes to joke around and tease us!
