do u think that linkin park should release a DVD containing music videos and live and rare performances... AC/DC just did this to tie their fans over until they release a new album. do u think LP should do the same?
I say yes and no. Yes, because it is kinda cool to have music videos and rare stuff to watch. No, because I believe we don't really need anymore "filler" material to hold us out until another Linkin Park album is released. Mike and Chester's solo work is enough.
nate - thats not what i meant... andrea, personally, i dont like either of mike's or chester's solo work. plus with this DVD we can watch songs that hardly perform nowadays for the likes of my december forgotten pushing me away and many more..... and nate... frat party only has the music videos i think this would be a great DVD. andrea, think of it this way... if it came out in stores, would u buy it or not?
;_; It's cool that there trying new things but I don't want the band to forget how they got famous in the first place! ~HM-UNDERGROUND
Nah, I think it should be called Live In Texas.
How about Live in the Frat Party at the Texas Pancake Festival?
Nah, I think it should be called Live In Texas.
But I like Pancakes! I'm going with the Frat Party yo! ~HM-UNDERGROUND
How about Live in the Frat Party at the Texas Pancake Festival?
I like it. And I think that for this DVD they should do something crazy like mash-up with Jay-Z or something.
you can just download live performances using torrents or p2p searches.. theres a good performance of Forgotten out there (in hamburg) if you wanna look that up.. Theres alot of my decembers out there too.. and LP used to always play Pushing me Away in their early touring.. look for their House of Blues concert.. The fact is.. Frat party didnt only have music videos.. it had plenty of rare live stuff from their early tours.. and asking if we would buy it if it came out of stores is rather silly.. ofcourse we would if they do it.. but they're not going to. Mike is too busy with FM and Chester will be busy in doing his solo work. Once the band get back into the studio again there will be no time for any of that because they're going to be working harder than meteora.. Chester and Mike would take alot from their experiences from the meteora tour, their solo projects and working with so many other artists that a different sound or something very new and fresh is about to hit us in the next album.. Id rather they improve themselves as artists and concerntrate on growing than to slave on giving the fan fillers.. anyways, they've given us alot of fillers anyways since meteora.. including their side projects and if you personally dont like it.. they wont care to fill your needs Another dvd wont happen.. the only thing that would come close is another LPTV thing like they did with Meteora.. but that isnt even for sure.. B)
I want them to release a DVD with footage from the Meteora World Tour and tours in Europe and the show in Brazil. Then showcase all the videos from Somewhere I Belong to Breaking The Habit in between sections like in Frat Party. It should just be called Frat Party 2. period
They already mainstreamed alot of Meteora.. they released almost half of the album on singles and on the radio.. The did live in texas which had alot of meteora songs on it.. they did a mash-up album and released a single from that too.. In my opinion.. they've shown the world quite alot of Meteora.. i personally think that they had enough of it and want to move on to new stuff (new album and solo work).. The only thing i agree with is that they should have their videos put out on dvd.. well they have BTH out there and Faint will soon be on a dvd but i doubt the others will make it to dvd.. and if they do i think it should be an LPU only thing...
NO! not LPU only. I'm not joining just to get this DVD and yes they have mainstreamed Meteora SONGS but there isn't any footage from the Meteora World Tour or the European tour out there the only footage from the MWT is on the Story of the Year and Hoobastank DVDs but that is of them not Linkin Park.
well.. download Rock AM Ring 2004, its the closest you're going to get to it.. They've already released Live in Texas.. they arent going to throw another live dvd out there.. or any live-dvd-footage of the sort, not until their next album is out so its gonna be a long time plus, you can buy the bandmerch stuff without joining anyways.. its just cheaper if you're an LPUer..
I would love a new Linkin Park DVD, it would be great. It would have live performances of Hybrid Theory and Meteora tracks, and more footage of them on the Meteora world tour, like Pankake Festival did. I don't think it will happen though, I was hoping for a Reanimation version of Meteora and it never happened.
