Rob doesn't need to complicate things or try to prove himself. He is a gifted player in my opinion and he can do whatever he wants. And it's not like because of songs like these he will have nothing to do, he does, and with the passing of the years you can see he is adding more electronic equipment to his gear.

We haven't even listened to two songs on the album to say he's doing too little or nothing, we don't know how the rest of the songs are. And if you ask me, I don't think Burn it Down would've sound this amazing if they had put acoustic drums in it (or at least on the chorus).. It wouldn't match.

When it's appropiate, he'll own the drums. He even came up with the seed that ended up being The Little Things Give You Away, he's that awesome.

Give it a chance. Enjoy the beat.

I want proof that Rob even works on the electronic tracks. I still don't entirely buy that they even use an electronic kit physically.

Damn, I really thought someone would've had something snarky and fanboyish to say about my talking about Mike Shinoda lifting a GarageBand piece to use for the melody of an entire song, thereby calling into question his creativity. "Believe Me," anyone? Anyone? Come on...

Have you never even seen a video of LP live? If so why not?
But if you had, you'd see how many pieces of electronic drums Rob uses physically

It was the same clip but it had an additional 3 seconds before the chorus.

Don't dismiss Living Things right off the bat. The band always has a great back story or reason for choosing their album names.

You can't rule out that possibility since they pretty much experiment with every instrument on earth (I'm exaggerating) or any object they can make sound with.

See the pads on the left? All the Pintech ones? Pintech is an electronic percussion company. He's been using those pads since Meteora I think (for the Faint intro) and his collection has done nothing but growing.

Durka durr. Durka durr. Durka durr.

I'm talking about when they are CREATING the song in the STUDIO.

Like: "I have an idea guyz, I'll use my electronic kit to play Rock Beat 101, that'll be perfect for the Burn It Down Chorus!"

"That's a great idea, Rob! Way to think outside of the box!"

Rick Rubin: "You guys are transcending genres here, and I mean that. If it sounds right to you and I, then it'll be on the song for all time."

"Thanks, Rick. Your input is always so cutting edge."

THANK YOU! I had no idea I wasn't a fan since before Meteora and didn't already know Faint intro was on Pintech pads! And I had NO idea what kind of a company PinTech was! THANK YOU SO MUCH!1

Guys, even if we are 99% sure LIVING THINGS is the album name, we're not going to post anything until it is publicly announced or confirmed by the band.

I had to re-read your post for sarcasm. Gets a bit hard to spot for the 1st time when english is not your first language. But I did it will all kindness and to get that response, now I find it unpleasant.
