Need Help With Darkening

So yeah, I was making a logo for our CounterStrike server and I came up with this, but it needs to be darker because it looks like paint instead of blood. I can't use burn because at this point, it just makes it black.

I know the URL is on there, but there's nothing on the website except like 2 lines of text.

 

Really? When I do the burn tool, it makes it look more like blood than paint.
