Need help identifying this game for the PC

I remember I had the demo version of this vehicular combat game back in the 90's. I can't remember the name and I've been dying to find and play it again. In the demo version you can play only one course where you need to get to this garage type thing before the timer runs out. If the timer runs out this giant alien ship thing comes to kill you. You start with a crappy car and apparently some guys who are watching your progress say they'll let you borrow their cars if you keep up the good work (though in the demo version that's as far as you can get). I think it was a DOS game but don't hold me to that. Does anyone find this familiar at all?

 

The only vehicular combat game from that time I remember is Quarantine.

 

The only one I can remember is a game called Red Asphalt. But that was a PS1 game.
