I know another NBA thread exists somewhere out there, but for the sake of not-necroposting, I decided to start a new one in regards to the new season. I seriously can't wait for my Suns to start tomorrow. I don't like either of the teams playing on TNT tonight LOL
This should be an exciting season. Lots of moves were made and a lot of teams have a totally different makeup. It'll be an even better year if hockey is locked out.
Need to watch the Heat - Celtics replay. Good win. Looks like the Lakers will need some time to warm up.
My Fantasy team is looking pretty damn good right now. My money league team has a lot of solid players despite being second to last pick. Kyrie Irving, Paul Pierce, Andrew Bynum, Courtney Lee, Ray Allen, Bismack Biyombo, DeAndre Jordan, Anthony Davis, Evan Turner, Austin Rivers, Chris Kaman, Leandro Barbosa and Shumpert (obviously benched until he gets back).
Looks like the Lakers may need a while. Harden! Fuck yeah! Absolutely thrilled with the game he put up!
Me too. I feel good about Harden, but I understand the Thunder can't keep everyone. They're not exactly a big market team like the Lakers that can throw down $30 million in luxury taxes with no problem. Paying Durant, Westbrook, and Harden would have been damn near impossible, and the trade was fair. Both new stars on the Rockets, Lin and Harden, are two former break-out stars from last year, so it would be interesting to see if they have a "sophomore slump" in the spotlight and if they can handle being the center of a rebuilding team. In all, though, the NBA is becoming less and less interesting as the years go on. With all the power-house teams, I think that most people could guess almost all of the teams that will be in the playoffs for both conferences. However, the past few weeks may be discouraging for Laker fans, since they haven't been able to make it work yet. Nash's injury and age may bother him throughout the year, and the offense needs work. They will figure it out, but not before a few headlines are made.
I definitely find the Harden trade fair, especially for Harden. He was playing behind Durant and Westbrook, and look at him now.
OKC made a big mistake keeping Westbrook. Don't even get me started on Perkins. He's worthless. Harden and Durant is all OKC needed and they blew it. Houston should be fun to watch this year.
Russell Westbrick, ladies and gentleman. His ego is too big to let Durant shoot the 40 shots a game he should be taking.
Man, I hate the Spurs, but I reaaaally like Danny Green. I also feel bad for Kevin Martin and Jeremy Lamb, as they =/= James Harden
Duncan and Parker (especially at the end) fucked your shit up real good. I was looking forward to the Knicks v Nets game, shame it got postponed but hopefully by then both teams will be in their grooves. ----- Edit: Fuck the Heat, the Rockets is where it is at. Harden putting up a career high 45 points in the win over the Hawks. Asik with 19 rebounds.
Harden is beasting it up. Lin's putting up good numbers, too. Sick start. They're going to be selling out every game. Good to see the Heat get their asses beat. 19-36 on 3s for the Knicks. I hope they can pull a season together for once. Just keep Amar'e on the bench forever. Westbrook takes 10 more shots than Durant. This is hilarious.
Lakers go 0 - 3 following a 10 point loss to the Clippers, Bryant finished up with 40 points whilst Nash didn't play.
Woah shit, got my games confused there. Ignore that. Haha. I'm excited for tomorrow, Houston right back at it. Fear the Beard.
Houston lost but putting up 24 points after 30+ in first two games is pretty good. Also, RT @JalenRose: Rockets are 2-0. Harden's 82 pts are most for a player in a team's 1st 2 games since Jordan 91pts in 86 pretty legit in his first two games
