um...i just got this new mp3 player and i dont know how to put my cds on it. grr i had it figured out once but i cant remember now lol. do any of you guys have it? it is the Samsung Napster YP-910 Player. it is confusing
First rip your CD's onto our PC using Windows Media Player or Real Player or something. Then connect the MP3 player to your PC using the cable it came with. The transfer the MP3's onto the player.
I don't think that will work since windows media player will only rip in WMA and I if your mp3 player doesn't accept WMA, then it's pointless. Your mp3 player should have come with an installation CD. Install their software, and use that to important cds into your mp3 player. Or, you could do what I did and just get an iPod
What a waste of 500 bucks.
500 bucks??? lol try 250 for a mini and 300 for a normal ipod. IMO there worth every penny. And if you cheap look on Ebay that have good prices
Why would you look on Ebay for an Ipod, the lithium battery will be worn down if it's on Ebay. And after it wears out, you have to buy a whole new Ipod. (Unless they have changable batteries, which I assume they don't)
true true how ever even the new ones on ebay are cheaper then retail. and some models do have changable batteries

Yup lol. I myself was never good at keeping my cds with me and please dont 'burn' me. Id rather have any MP3 player then a CD playa IMO, But we all have our own opinions. Lata. Edit: Plus mp3 are generaly smaller then CD players

actually there was this sony one i was looking at @ circuit city the other day, and i really liked it. 200$, 45 hours of music, blah blah blah, plays wma, wav, mp3, mp2, midi, everything. hahahaha! i told my parents i want it for my birthday but i dont think i am getting it. oh well. my portable cd player plays everything too, but you have to have it on a disc. but it plays mp3s and wmas and wavs, so yeah.
Plus add up all the batteries you have to buy for the CD player, which could end up being expensive in the end.
If you're like my family, we buy batteries in bulk. That's weird. I listened to my MP3/CD Player on the way down to Florida (11 hours or so), and I didn't have to change the batteries once. Infact, I didn't have to change the batteries anytime during the Cruise, which lasted 5 days. :wth:
Actually, I did the math and the iPod is cheaper than batteries for cds, plus it's so much better in feature. Ex: I use mine about 10 hours a week, and since there are 12 hours in one charge cycle, and there are a minimum of about 300 charge cycles in a lithium ion battery (most have 400+) then my ipod will theoretically last 6.9 years. Of course I don't expect it to, but I do expect it to last 3 or 4, and with a nominal fee of $60, Apple will warranty it for 3 years. So, if I spent $3 a week, for 4 AA batteries on a cd player, each lasting 5 hours, then comes to a total of $156 a year, or $1092 in 7 years! Also, if you buy in bulk, you're wasting even more money since ALL alkaline batteries don't last as long as lithium-ion. You can always get a new battery from Apple. So, in defense, I would rather pay $300 (not $500?) for a smaller, lighter, much greater library of songs and options than over $500 in batteries and lug around my cds with me. Cameron, it's obvious you don't like the iPod, which is fine. However, it's very neat, and if you can afford it, I say go for it. Life's too short to be stuck with one cd on repeat, but then again, that's just me
I agree, it is the most expensive mp3 player to my knowledge, but I chose Apple since it has a one year warranty on parts and labor. From what I heard, brands like Rio and Sony are only giving 90 days. I wouldn't want to pay something $100 cheaper, and then not have it work in six months. Plus, you have an mp3 cd player I had the regular one lol.
I suggest just getting alot of CD-R's (or whatever you can burn MP3's to) and a MP3/CD Player. Mine only cost me $100 :wth:
CD/MP3 player + Rechargable batteries + CD Burner + a few CD-RWs = Perfect. I'd like an iPod, but I don't want to spend all that cash on it.
That's if the CD player eats batteries like yesterday's breakfast. With my atrac3plus MP3/CD player, I get about 40 hours with a regular CD, and about 77 with an atrac3plus CD, which holds about 26 average CDs. With my current CD collection, I have to carry 2 discs, but usually only have one with me. I'd have to say that the only downside to it is that burning an atrac3plus CD takes forever. So when did you clue into that one? And no, I will never get an iPod. Ever. Even if I was payed to do it.
