But watch out when unscrewing your base drum you will have to "tune" it again when you put it back together... As far as I know.

I'd hate to have something in my base drum. Personally, I think it completely ruins the sound. I'd just as rather by pads to lay over them so you can easily take them off when you want. But I'm a bit of an expense, so don't mind me.
